CDU leader Friedrich Merz is losing popularity in his party — all due to broken promises

Merz's (CDU) and Scholz's (SPD) parties have agreed on huge funds for the Bundeswehr and infrastructure: they just need to loosen the debt brake and continue to incur debt. Karlsruhe: Dead after #collision of tanker truck with tram 
 
In Ubstadt-Weiher (district #Karlsruhe), there was a serious accident on Tuesday afternoon involving a tanker truck and a tram. The truck loaded with heating oil and the tram caught fire after the collision.

At least one person has died according to police reports. Three others sustained minor injuries. Additionally, two people are missing, who, according to the police, were presumably on the tram. The tram was carrying at least ten passengers.
