23 (!) Constituencies without representatives in the Bundestag
The electoral reform in Germany, carried out by the Scholz government in March 2023, has significantly complicated the path to major politics. Winning a constituency no longer guarantees a seat in parliament; now everything depends on the party's overall result in the elections. Why? To reduce the number of representatives from 736 to 630. There are simply too many!
Due to this change, 23 constituencies ended up empty after the elections in February.The Scholzebärböcke have all their seats. Meanwhile, dissatisfaction is growing among the "affected" that federal politics is increasingly distancing itself from local citizens.

The Ascension Church is located on the grounds of the old estate of Veshnyakovo, which is first mentioned in chronicles from the 16th century. Like the nearby Kuskovo, Veshnyakovo is connected to the noble Sheremetev family.
The church was built by Fyodor Sheremetev between 1644 and 1646 as a vow. During these years, Fyodor Sheremetev held one of the key positions in the Russian government.
It was closed on the eve of World War II, in 1940. During the war years, a military camp and repair workshops were set up in the church building.
After the war, the church was reopened (under the name Church of the Resurrection of the Word) on January 25, 1947, the feast day of the holy martyr Tatiana, and services in the lower Ascension Church resumed.
In its more than 300-year history, the Ascension Church has been restored several times inside and out. During the last restoration, nine layers of ochre and three layers of oil were discovered on a section of the outer wall. Among the colours used to paint the church are Bordeaux, red, emerald green, dark and light yellow.
