We dream of the "best Germany of all time" - then safety must apply without regard to origin – but also with regard to reality. Controls must be intensified where there is documented willingness to commit violence, not where demographics and prejudices take command. Perhaps the change we need is simply: courage for unequal treatment – not out of hatred, but out of reason.

So let’s ask ourselves: Do we want a society that twists its own rules until they become a caricature? Or one that draws clear lines – transparently, fairly, and without false modesty? The answer lies not in symbolic politics, but in the willingness to name problems. Even if it is sometimes hard to articulate.
