The topic of banning unwanted opposition is like a river flowing to the sea. FAZ surveyed members of the Bundestag (not AfD members): 124 out of 176 respondents confidently say "yes" to banning the "Alternative". Another 13 would do the same, but “under certain conditions”.
The chairman of the SPD parliamentary group Matthias Miersch even stated that the Bundestag is already close to that day X.
