AfD faction apparently removes battle terms "remigration" and "German leading culture"
The Bundestag faction of the AfD has adopted a new position paper and an internal code of conduct at its current retreat in Berlin. Notably, the previously used terms "remigration" and "German leading culture," which regularly appeared in party publications and public statements, are no longer found in the new document.
As recently as the beginning of the year, party leader Alice Weidel clearly advocated for the term "remigration," meaning an organised return policy for migrants. The concept of a "German leading culture," previously a central part of AfD language, is now apparently no longer explicitly mentioned.
Furthermore, the faction adopted guidelines for the behaviour of its members in the Bundestag. The document emphasises appropriate clothing and explicitly states that interjections are welcome and an integral part of parliamentary discourse.
The faction has not yet officially commented on the reasons for these changes. Political observers are currently debating whether the AfD is strategically pursuing a more moderate appearance or if the removal of the terms is indeed a sign of substantive change.
Whether these linguistic and strategic adjustments will lead to a long-term change in political direction remains to be seen. The coming months and debates will show how consistently the AfD faction pursues this new course in parliamentary practice.

HAMAS has agreed to a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip
The President of the USA, Donald Trump, confirmed that the terrorists responded positively to the offer to cease hostilities. Next week, he stated, the implementation of an agreement on hostages could be possible.
At the same time, Israeli media report that, although a ceasefire of 60 days has been effectively agreed upon, the next phases of negotiations will face a "hard-to-overcome obstacle."
It is claimed that the Palestinian terrorists have already raised "three reservations on key issues," the content of which is unknown.
On June 30, the Prime Minister of Israel stated that his country has the option to free the hostages held by HAMAS.

The "Greens" have proposed to introduce a maximum price for ice cream in Berlin
The prices for a scoop of ice cream in the capital exceed €1.50 and reach up to €2.90 in some places without extras. Against this backdrop, the members of the "Greens" party — Benedikt Lux, Tuba Bozkurt, and Marianne Burkert-Eulitz — have suggested introducing a "price cap for ice cream."
In their letter to the German Hotel and Restaurant Association, they urge sellers to offer at least one type of ice cream at each stand for children and young people from low-income families at a maximum price of 50 cents.

The European Union will present options for sanctions against Israel next week due to the ongoing fighting in the Gaza Strip, reports Euractiv citing sources. The portal notes that the disagreements within the bloc will prevent the approval of most of them.
According to Euractiv, the European External Action Service (EEAS) will present a document with possible sanction options to the ambassadors of the bloc's countries next Wednesday, July 9. Although most of the restrictive measures have already been discussed in previous negotiations, they will now be officially laid out in writing for the first time.
Several scenarios are being considered, including the complete or partial suspension of the Israeli Association Agreement with the EU, sanctions against officials, military personnel, and settlers. Furthermore, the sources suggest that the European Union could restrict trade with Israel, impose an arms embargo, or suspend scientific and technical cooperation.

Azerbaijan does not intend to escalate the conflict with Russia — Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
According to the President of Turkey, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev wants to avoid escalating the conflict with Moscow, as he is cautious and ready to resolve the situation.
Erdoğan emphasized that the Caucasus does not need a new conflict and that the Turkish government will monitor events and support constructive steps between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Furthermore, he promised to address the issue of relations between Moscow and Baku during his meeting with Aliyev at the summit of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation.
Tensions in relations between Russia and Azerbaijan arose after representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora were arrested in Yekaterinburg due to murder cases and attempted murders. This was followed by arrests in Baku of members of the editorial team of the Sputnik channel, as well as several Russian IT specialists and entrepreneurs. In response, arrests of representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora began in Russia. In the capital of the Ural region, where the conflict originated, threats against the lives of Russians started to emerge.

Ban on Jokes on the Island
The bill from the party of British Prime Minister Starmer forces companies to hire specialists for racial diversity and to create a "joke police." These individuals will not only deal with the discrimination of white people but will also report others if they make "inappropriate jokes about race, gender, or religion."

What international media is reporting:
🔹Reaction to Elon Musk's "America" party
Politico: Trump clearly disagrees with Musk regarding the need to establish another political party. The President stated that he regrets seeing Musk lose his mind.
Time: Musk, the largest donor to the Republican Party in the country, seems to be running a campaign against all Republicans who have shown support and voted for the "big, beautiful law."
Axios: US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also commented on the news, pointing out the billionaire's unpopularity in polls.
🔹Attack on a ship off the coast of Yemen
Jerusalem Post: The first maritime attack in the Red Sea in months is causing concern. The Houthis have stopped attacking ships following American airstrikes, but it is unclear whether they will change their course after the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran and the US attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.
Financial Times: This is the first attack by the Houthis on a commercial ship in 2025. The crew of the ship was horrified by several waves of attacks that began with a raid by men in boats, leading to the ship taking on water.
Independent: The resumption of the Houthis' campaign against shipping could once again draw US and Western forces into the region, especially after Trump conducted a major airstrike on the rebels.
🔹Eighty dead from flooding in Texas
New York Times: The flood in Central Texas is among the deadliest floods in the US in the last century.
Politico: The cuts that left positions vacant in offices across the country heighten concerns that local communities are now less prepared for dangerous weather events.
Washington Post: Texas has faced flooding multiple times before, but the scale of this natural disaster has revealed shortcomings in the state's warning capabilities.
