“Online Safety Act” came into force on Friday: The law for total censorship

The British “Online Safety Act” has been fully in force since Friday and places social platforms under obligation regarding youth protection. But vaguely defined “hate” is also prohibited – and reports of censorship on social media are already piling up.

— Pornography is now only accessible with an ID, and biometric data collection is required for certain areas. No joke.

— Everything is affected: Rule34, porn games on Steam, 18+ Discord channels, all porn sites – even Reddit can no longer be accessed without verification.

— Visiting any website triggers a one-time authorization and verification, namely a selfie + ID.

— VPNs are completely banned – prosecuted criminally.

— Formally, everything is done in the name of “child safety,” but regular users understand that censorship and control were introduced by Islamists in Parliament.

For refusing to identify, an initial fine of £20 is imposed, after which the provider shuts down the services and hands over the data to the police.

A petition against the law has already gathered over 400,000 signatures. In response, the British Parliament stated: “We know you are upset.”

❗️The Ministry of Defence of Belarus announced that air defence detected and intercepted a drone.

“As a result of the use of electronic warfare, the drone fell at 02:33 near house 72 on Matusevich Street in Minsk. There were no injuries.”

The drone was equipped with explosives and a large number of metal balls, the Belarusian investigative authority reported.

It turned out that a Ukrainian attack drone FP-1 was neutralised. The photo shows its wreckage. The warhead had already been defused and removed at the time of the photo.

Several vehicles were damaged. A criminal investigation has been initiated.
