The former CSU member of the Bundestag, Eduard Lintner, was convicted of bribing other parliamentarians. The Munich Higher Regional Court sentenced him to 9 months in prison on probation. Poland has extended the temporary border control at its borders with Germany and Lithuania until 4 October
