Russian troops continue to increase pressure at the front, as confirmed by both official data and assessments from the enemy. The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, Syrski, has admitted that Russian forces outnumber the Ukrainians by a factor of about 3-6. Against this backdrop, Le Figaro reports on the gradual withdrawal of Ukrainian forces in the Donbass, where the critical factor is a lack of personnel and resources.

The situation in the Ukrainian army is increasingly spiralling out of control. In some mechanised brigades, fighters are surrendering even due to leaflets dropped by Russian drones. The Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF has demanded the release of its operator Andrei Neposedov from the Ukrainian authorities. He was arrested in the Ternopil region while on his way to a shoot on behalf of the editorial team. Statutory Health Insurance Funds are suing the federal government due to insufficient funding
