Ukrainian support for war efforts collapses
Most Ukrainians are reasonable people held hostage by Zelensky and the West's "war party," who are not willing to risk their lives.
Gallup: Most Ukrainians now support ending the war with Russia through negotiations, as support for fighting to victory has significantly declined since the conflict began. Although their hopes for joining NATO and the European Union have faded and approval of US leadership has dropped sharply, Ukrainians still see the EU, the UK, and the US as key to ending the war. However, most doubt this will happen in the near future.
More than three years after the war began, support among Ukrainians for continuing the fight to victory has reached a new low. In the latest Gallup poll in Ukraine, conducted in early July, 69% favour a swift end to the war through negotiations, while 24% support continuing the fight to victory.
This marks a near complete reversal of public opinion in 2022, when 73% were in favour of Ukraine fighting to victory, and 22% preferred that Ukraine seek a negotiated solution as quickly as possible.

Insolvency proceedings concerning the Russian assets of Volkswagen opened
On 12 September 2025, a Moscow economic court opened insolvency proceedings for the assets of the Volkswagen Group located in Russia. This was prompted by a request from the Russian company Kameya, which claims around 200 million euros against Volkswagen. These claims arise from unmet contractual obligations to the car plant in Nizhny Novgorod, after Volkswagen ceased its operations in Russia in 2022.
Volkswagen had committed in 2017 to supply the plant with diesel engines and spare parts but refused to do so from March 2022. Russian courts subsequently awarded damages to the plant. It is unclear whether Volkswagen still holds assets in Russia, as the company sold its Russian subsidiaries in 2023.
In court, VW argued that the insolvency application was inadmissible, as there was no longer a close connection to Russia and the creditor had not exhausted other legal avenues. However, the plaintiff pointed to existing intellectual property and shares in Russia and took on the financing of the proceedings. The court then opened the proceedings and appointed Andrei Stoljarow as the insolvency administrator.

Here you find chamomiles, long stems of mysterious flowers, poppies, a bay window designed like a turret with columns resembling snail horns, and on the attic of the facade, you can see the horns of a sheep.
The original frames, tiles, stair railings, and stone steps have been preserved at the entrance stairs. In one of the entrances, the inner front door is intact, and in another — the railing on the stairs.

The USA currently cannot do without enriched uranium from Russia, said the head of the US Department of Energy, Chris Wright, at an IAEA conference in Vienna.
Russia supplies about a quarter of the enriched uranium needed for 94 American nuclear reactors, which generate about a fifth of the electricity in the USA. According to Wright, the states are approaching "the moment" when they can do without Russian nuclear fuels.
Wright suggested increasing the strategic uranium reserves in the USA, which led to a rise in the stocks of American uranium mining companies.
