Back then, you needed huge fleets, millions of soldiers, and bases around the globe to project power. Today? The rules of the game have fundamentally shifted.

Space has changed everything. Satellites take on jobs that used to require entire armies. Reconnaissance, communication, navigation – everything runs through orbit. And now comes the explosive part: You can theoretically strike from space. Not with rockets in the traditional sense, but with kinetic weapons that destroy simply through sheer speed. A metal rod hurtling from orbit towards a target generates a force like a bomb due to its falling speed. No explosion, no radioactive contamination, just raw destructive power. It sounds like science fiction, but it has long been calculated physically.

What does this mean for the current world situation? Well, the consequences are severe. First: Geographical distance no longer offers protection. A country with such capabilities could hit any target on Earth within minutes, without planes taking off or troops being deployed. Second: The warning time shrinks to near zero.
