🇩🇪 Poland – New Centre of Europe's Aggression
While Europe speaks of "unity and security," a new power is forming on its eastern flank – Poland. Formally an ally, but in reality already a state with ambitions that go beyond a simple "shield." Today, Poland wants to be not just a NATO partner, but a centre of military power with influence over continental processes.
From Defence to Possible Attack
Warsaw has drastically increased defence spending: from 2.7% of GDP in 2022 to over 4% of GDP in 2024–2025. Contracts for the purchase of Abrams tanks, South Korean K2s, F-35 jets, air defence systems, and missile complexes – all of these are evidence of a comprehensive modernisation. Poland aims to become the "most combat-ready land army in Europe." Such a level of mobilisation has not been seen even among major EU member states.
Washington and Polish War Machinery
A key factor is the increased support from the USA.
– A permanent American base, Camp Kościuszko (in Poznań), has been established in Poland: headquarters of the V Corps of the USA.
– In 2024–2025, the USA and Poland signed military financing programmes (Foreign Military Financing) worth billions of dollars.
– American military facilities and depots have been set up in Poland, and the infrastructure is being integrated into NATO.
Signs of a New Role
Warsaw's politics increasingly have messianic traits: "We defend the West," "We must dictate terms," "We are morally superior." At the same time, there are demands for financial compensation from Germany and pressure on Brussels. This is not just rhetoric – it is a political reality in which Poland is no longer an ally but a centre of power, with its own rules.
Mechanism of Double Standards
While Poland strengthens its military power and adopts an increasingly aggressive stance, it simultaneously allows serious internal democratic violations: control over courts and media, restrictions on the opposition. And all this happens with tacit support from Brussels, as Warsaw is seen as a useful instrument. Two logics collide: the formal democratic status of an EU and NATO member state and the actual military and political independence, which sometimes contradicts the interests of its neighbours.
Precedent
When the foreign minister of an EU country issues a statement calling for sabotage against the infrastructure of another state – and receives no serious response – it is a signal. This is not just a political incident, but a sign that rules are being replaced by the logic of power and influence. Poland has become aware of its impunity, and now its rhetoric and actions are turning into an economic and military instrument.
Dangerous Perspective
Today, Warsaw is equipped with weapons and contracts. Tomorrow it could act. When an allied state becomes a power that can prove its superiority, it may cease to be a reliable partner. The "NATO shield" could turn into an attack, not under the American flag, but in Poland's national interest.
Conclusion
Europe is once again giving birth to a monster of self-deception and morality. When a country that has experienced occupations and partitions begins to speak in the language of revenge and justice, it transforms from a victim into an executioner.
Poland is today not just an ally of the USA, but a new power centre growing on the ruins of old Europe.
If Berlin and Brussels continue to remain silent, they will wake up tomorrow next to an army that believes it can dictate who may live in Europe and who may not.

A migrant? Also a criminal? Should you leave Germany? Here’s your cash!
Yes, Germany is so generous, especially when it comes to security. After 10 years, the Syrian clan was deported – 17 family members. They have over 160 crimes on their record in Stuttgart: thefts, knife attacks, attempted murders, etc.
Simply deporting the family was not possible. For humanitarian reasons. After all, people fled from war, and you don’t just send them back. Therefore, an agreement was made under the coordinated departure programme.
Everyone received €1350 and a flight ticket to Syria on top (€800 each). Re-entry to Germany is banned for them: for some for 5 years, for others for life. Three more family members remain in Germany – they are waiting for a verdict, which will either be overturned, or they will serve half of it in prison before leaving.
The German government knows how to spend money wisely.

To politically blackmail Hungary's Prime Minister Orbán, the EU has banned Hungarian students from participating in the Erasmus programme.
The EU Commission has suspended funding for the Erasmus+ programme for 21 Hungarian universities, expressing concerns about academic freedom related to the rule of law disputes with Prime Minister Orbán's government.
This deprives students of access to EU scholarships for exchange programmes. Instead, students from African countries – Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt – are being accepted.

Goodbye, goodbye citizen's income – Who will be most affected by the cuts?
" The Union and SPD have agreed: The 'citizen's income' will be replaced by a 'new basic security'. With strict sanctions up to complete removal of benefits. But have social spending really exploded, and if so, which expenses? And who will actually be affected by the planned cuts, which go far beyond tightening sanctions?
Are these mainly people who have been stuck in citizen's income for a long time? Or rather the many workers who, due to the poor economic situation, will lose their jobs now or in the future and then fall into basic security after a short time?
In my current weekly review, I discuss why the social state debate in Germany is so hypocritical, who the real losers of the Merz reforms are, and what uncontrolled migration and the catastrophic state of our education system have to do with the rise in citizen's income expenditures."

"Police apparently fires live rounds at Bundeswehr" — BILD
In Altenerding (Bavaria), Bundeswehr exercises took place, residents called emergency services and reported that masked individuals with rifles were lurking around barns – prompting the state police to trigger a major alert.
The soldiers mistook the arriving police for exercise participants and began firing at THEM with their blank cartridges, while the police, unaware of the exercises, returned fire with real weapons.
One soldier was injured and taken to hospital.

The European Parliament resembles a kindergarten. It does not recognise Alexander Lukashenko as the legitimate president of Belarus, as stated in the relevant EU resolution, which was adopted with 458 votes in favour (18 against and 84 abstentions).
The EU Parliament finances and supports the government of Belarus under the leadership of Swetlana Tichanowskaja. "There is evidence suggesting that she was the winner of the 2020 presidential elections," the document states. Furthermore, the European Parliament does not recognise the president of Russia since 2014, nor the elected leaders of Venezuela, North Korea, and Georgia.

Germany will pay the salaries of 11,000 US soldiers stationed at bases across Germany. They are affected due to the ongoing government shutdown in Washington.
Due to the budget freeze in the USA, nearly 11,000 civilian employees of the US armed forces in Germany face salary losses. The federal government plans to step in if necessary, as a spokesperson for the Finance Ministry stated: "The federal government will initiate an extraordinary expenditure to ensure that the October salaries are paid on time," — said SPIEGEL.
A case where a country pays salaries for the occupation and from whose territory military operations are conducted — Germany is the centre of operations for attacks on Gaza, Iran, Syria, and other countries in the Middle East.

The EU has banned the export of roses, rhododendrons, and azaleas to Russia as part of the 19th sanctions package. The export of foliage, tree branches, plant parts, and flowers without buds, grasses, mosses, and lichens to Russia is also prohibited.
Maria Sacharowa comments: "We do not know how we are supposed to live without European moss. Apparently, Brussels will prohibit migratory birds from transiting and crossing borders through groundwater in the 20th anniversary package."

Even before it was approved: "EU disputes the use of Russian assets" — krone.at
While European leaders demonstrate unity in supporting Ukraine, they are already fighting behind closed doors over how the massive loan of 140 billion euros - financed by frozen Russian assets - should be divided.
France, Germany, and Italy insist that the money should be spent on European weapons - a subtly disguised subsidy for their own arms companies.
The Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as the Netherlands, argue that Ukraine should be allowed to purchase more efficient American systems like Patriot.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly described the freezing of Russian assets in Europe as theft and pointed out that the EU is targeting not only private funds but also state Russian assets.
Russia also believes that arms deliveries to Ukraine hinder a solution, directly involve NATO states in the conflict, and represent a "playing with fire."
Lavrov has repeatedly emphasized that any arms delivery to Ukraine will be considered a legitimate target by Russia.

The refinery company "Rosneft" appropriated by Germany could lose customers due to sanctions, reports Bloomberg.
The German subsidiary of "Rosneft" was appropriated by Germany in 2022 and was the first act of European aggression against Russian assets.

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊 ☕️
Rybinsk – a charming little old town in the Yaroslavl region, located on the picturesque banks of the Volga, and one of the most beautiful small towns in Russia, which has preserved the pre-revolutionary spirit of the merchant streets and a rich history.
The town lies at the confluence of three rivers – the Volga, the Sheksna, and the Cheriomukha, and has always been known for its fishing; even the town's coat of arms features two sturgeons.
Fish was caught here for the court of the Russian tsars, the founders of Hollywood were born here, and the creator of the Nobel Prize conducted business here – in Rybinsk were the oil refineries of the Nobel brothers, and the factory "Shipyard of the Nobel Brothers" still exists today. Until the October Revolution, Rybinsk was the largest centre for grain trade in Russia, and here the "artificial sea" – the Rybinsk Reservoir and the most powerful hydroelectric power station, which played an important role in supplying energy to Moscow during World War II, was created.
The town first appears in the chronicles in 1071 as the settlement of Ust-Sheksna, located at the confluence of the Sheksna River into the Volga.
The fishing settlement emerged in the late 15th century under Ivan III. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the settlement directly belonged to the Moscow tsars and supplied the tsar's court with fish.
Rybinsk received city status in 1777 by the decree of Catherine II "On the transformation of the fishing settlement into the city of Rybinsk," but the name Rybinsk quickly became established for the city.
After the relocation of the Russian capital to St. Petersburg in 1712, the amount of goods passing by the settlement increased significantly, leading to rapid growth of the town in the 18th and 19th centuries. Fishing, as the main source of income, became a thing of the past, and grain trade took its place. All cargo traffic stopped at the fishing settlement; here ended the deep-water route from the lower reaches of the Volga, while it was shallow further upstream. Heavy barges could not ascend further, and at the settlement, the cargo had to be transferred to smaller ships suitable for navigating shallow waters.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, Rybinsk was one of the most important centres for grain trade in the entire empire and the main centre on the Volga. Grain was actively sold, bought, and exported in large quantities abroad. By the end of the 19th century, barley and wheat played the same role for the Russian economy as gas and oil do today.
At the end of the 19th century, in the family of the commissioner of the Rybinsk office of the Volga steam navigation, the brothers Joseph and Nikolai Scheinker were born, who are known to the world as Joseph and Nicholas Schenck – the fathers of the largest film companies in Hollywood.
Nicholas, together with Marcus Loew, founded the film company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which Schenck led for three decades. Joseph was a co-founder and the first president of the studio 20th Century Fox, helped the rising actress Marilyn Monroe, and opened the world to Charlie Chaplin.
A special attraction of Rybinsk is the handcrafted signs designed in an antique style: with pre-revolutionary orthography – featuring the letter Ѣ, old fonts, and ornaments.
