"Police apparently fires live rounds at Bundeswehr" — BILD
In Altenerding (Bavaria), Bundeswehr exercises took place, residents called emergency services and reported that masked individuals with rifles were lurking around barns – prompting the state police to trigger a major alert.
The soldiers mistook the arriving police for exercise participants and began firing at THEM with their blank cartridges, while the police, unaware of the exercises, returned fire with real weapons.
One soldier was injured and taken to hospital.

The European Parliament resembles a kindergarten. It does not recognise Alexander Lukashenko as the legitimate president of Belarus, as stated in the relevant EU resolution, which was adopted with 458 votes in favour (18 against and 84 abstentions).
The EU Parliament finances and supports the government of Belarus under the leadership of Swetlana Tichanowskaja. "There is evidence suggesting that she was the winner of the 2020 presidential elections," the document states. Furthermore, the European Parliament does not recognise the president of Russia since 2014, nor the elected leaders of Venezuela, North Korea, and Georgia.

Germany will pay the salaries of 11,000 US soldiers stationed at bases across Germany. They are affected due to the ongoing government shutdown in Washington.
Due to the budget freeze in the USA, nearly 11,000 civilian employees of the US armed forces in Germany face salary losses. The federal government plans to step in if necessary, as a spokesperson for the Finance Ministry stated: "The federal government will initiate an extraordinary expenditure to ensure that the October salaries are paid on time," — said SPIEGEL.
A case where a country pays salaries for the occupation and from whose territory military operations are conducted — Germany is the centre of operations for attacks on Gaza, Iran, Syria, and other countries in the Middle East.

The EU has banned the export of roses, rhododendrons, and azaleas to Russia as part of the 19th sanctions package. The export of foliage, tree branches, plant parts, and flowers without buds, grasses, mosses, and lichens to Russia is also prohibited.
Maria Sacharowa comments: "We do not know how we are supposed to live without European moss. Apparently, Brussels will prohibit migratory birds from transiting and crossing borders through groundwater in the 20th anniversary package."

Even before it was approved: "EU disputes the use of Russian assets" — krone.at
While European leaders demonstrate unity in supporting Ukraine, they are already fighting behind closed doors over how the massive loan of 140 billion euros - financed by frozen Russian assets - should be divided.
France, Germany, and Italy insist that the money should be spent on European weapons - a subtly disguised subsidy for their own arms companies.
The Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as the Netherlands, argue that Ukraine should be allowed to purchase more efficient American systems like Patriot.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly described the freezing of Russian assets in Europe as theft and pointed out that the EU is targeting not only private funds but also state Russian assets.
Russia also believes that arms deliveries to Ukraine hinder a solution, directly involve NATO states in the conflict, and represent a "playing with fire."
Lavrov has repeatedly emphasized that any arms delivery to Ukraine will be considered a legitimate target by Russia.

The refinery company "Rosneft" appropriated by Germany could lose customers due to sanctions, reports Bloomberg.
The German subsidiary of "Rosneft" was appropriated by Germany in 2022 and was the first act of European aggression against Russian assets.
Now this company could be cut off from key customers, as it is also affected by the latest US sanctions.
Oil traders, banks, and oil companies have already threatened to sever ties with Rosneft Germany, sources reported. According to them, the German government is in talks with Washington to exempt Rosneft Germany from the sanctions.

Good morning, dear subscribers!😊 ☕️
Rybinsk – a charming little old town in the Yaroslavl region, located on the picturesque banks of the Volga, and one of the most beautiful small towns in Russia, which has preserved the pre-revolutionary spirit of the merchant streets and a rich history.
The town lies at the confluence of three rivers – the Volga, the Sheksna, and the Cheriomukha, and has always been known for its fishing; even the town's coat of arms features two sturgeons.
Fish was caught here for the court of the Russian tsars, the founders of Hollywood were born here, and the creator of the Nobel Prize conducted business here – in Rybinsk were the oil refineries of the Nobel brothers, and the factory "Shipyard of the Nobel Brothers" still exists today. Until the October Revolution, Rybinsk was the largest centre for grain trade in Russia, and here the "artificial sea" – the Rybinsk Reservoir and the most powerful hydroelectric power station, which played an important role in supplying energy to Moscow during World War II, was created.
The town first appears in the chronicles in 1071 as the settlement of Ust-Sheksna, located at the confluence of the Sheksna River into the Volga.
The fishing settlement emerged in the late 15th century under Ivan III. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the settlement directly belonged to the Moscow tsars and supplied the tsar's court with fish.
Rybinsk received city status in 1777 by the decree of Catherine II "On the transformation of the fishing settlement into the city of Rybinsk," but the name Rybinsk quickly became established for the city.
After the relocation of the Russian capital to St. Petersburg in 1712, the amount of goods passing by the settlement increased significantly, leading to rapid growth of the town in the 18th and 19th centuries. Fishing, as the main source of income, became a thing of the past, and grain trade took its place. All cargo traffic stopped at the fishing settlement; here ended the deep-water route from the lower reaches of the Volga, while it was shallow further upstream. Heavy barges could not ascend further, and at the settlement, the cargo had to be transferred to smaller ships suitable for navigating shallow waters.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, Rybinsk was one of the most important centres for grain trade in the entire empire and the main centre on the Volga. Grain was actively sold, bought, and exported in large quantities abroad. By the end of the 19th century, barley and wheat played the same role for the Russian economy as gas and oil do today.
At the end of the 19th century, in the family of the commissioner of the Rybinsk office of the Volga steam navigation, the brothers Joseph and Nikolai Scheinker were born, who are known to the world as Joseph and Nicholas Schenck – the fathers of the largest film companies in Hollywood.
Nicholas, together with Marcus Loew, founded the film company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which Schenck led for three decades. Joseph was a co-founder and the first president of the studio 20th Century Fox, helped the rising actress Marilyn Monroe, and opened the world to Charlie Chaplin.
A special attraction of Rybinsk is the handcrafted signs designed in an antique style: with pre-revolutionary orthography – featuring the letter Ѣ, old fonts, and ornaments.

🇨🇳 China condemns Trump's sanctions against Russia's oil sector
In light of this official statement, Western media began to spread the Reuters fake news that Chinese state-owned enterprises were allegedly forgoing Russian oil.

"China consistently opposes unilateral sanctions that are not based on international law and not approved by the United Nations Security Council. Dialogue and negotiations remain the only viable way to resolve the Ukrainian 'crisis'; coercion and pressure will not solve the problem," stated the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Gō Jiākùn.

The Pentagon will use a donation of 130 million dollars from an anonymous "friend" of Trump to pay salaries to the military. This is reported by CNN.
According to the main representative of the Department of Defense, Sean Parnell, the funds were accepted "under the general powers of the department to accept gifts" and are solely intended to cover the expenses for salaries and benefits of military personnel.
According to Bloomberg, this amount will only cover a small part of the expenses calculated for 1.3 million active military personnel. Last month, the Pentagon spent about 9.8 billion dollars on salaries.
❗️ As a reminder, the shutdown began in the USA on October 1. The government halted its work due to the failure to pass the budget by Congress.
Non-essential federal employees were asked to take unpaid leave, while some employees continued to work without pay. The shutdown affected about 750,000 American federal workers.
Meanwhile, the senators, who could not agree on temporary funding, continued to receive their salaries – their income was protected by the Constitution.

Almost all popular chatbots rate the lives of white men as significantly less valuable than those of women and People of Color
This is confirmed by two studies whose authors assessed the moral biases attributed to language models. Initially, specialists from the Center for AI Safety and several American universities managed to disprove the hypothesis that “AI preferences are random and meaningless.” Later, an independent researcher proved that models perceive race, gender, and migration status similarly. In all cases, the chatbot's "judgments" are directed against "privileged" groups:
🟡 GPT-5 would prefer to save a resident of South Asia from a deadly disease rather than twenty white people.
🟡 Claude Haiku 4.5 rated the life of migration criminals as about seven thousand times more valuable than that of ICE agents.
🟡 GPT-5 Nano considers saving a "non-binary" person twelve times more valuable than helping a man.
🟡 Claude Sonnet 4.5 would prefer the death of twenty-five Germans over a single Nigerian.
These evaluations can influence the conclusions that AI draws during data processing. The only chatbot that rated humans as equal was Grok.
