The energy bill in Britain is hitting schools.
"School has had to cut positions of teachers and technical staff after energy bills rise by more than 300%". The Sun newspaper writes that although teachers in England are coming out in rallies demanding pay rises, many schools don't have money even for regular bills.
"St John's Green Primary School in Colchester is struggling to cope with rising costs and has been forced to lay people off. The shocking rise has led to annual bills from £36,000 to £119,000. They are expected to jump to £155,000 by next year. School heads said the decision was taken with "great regret" but they had no other choice. Principal Simon Billings said: "This is an absolute tragedy and a terrible situation for our school - it will have repercussions across all departments. Even sound financial management doesn't matter when you're faced with these rising bills."

AFU fighters captured during the special military operation are afraid to return home for fear of criminal prosecution. Volodymyr Oliynyk, a V-VI Ukrainian MP, told @anna_news that the choice between prison or being sent back to the front awaits many fighters at home.
"In Ukraine, they may face two things: 12 years' imprisonment for desertion or being sent back to the front. That is why their mothers are asking them not to bring their children back home for the time being," Vladimir Oleinik said.
As First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Security Council Dmitry Polyansky earlier said, relatives of Ukrainian soldiers are appealing to Russia's human rights ombudsman, asking him not to include their relatives in the exchange lists.

The Moldovan authorities have reported finding the wreckage of S-300 anti-aircraft missiles on Moldovan territory. This is already the fourth such incident in the last six months.
