According to information from sources in the Foreign Ministry, the USA is launching an ambitious programme to train future officers of the Ukrainian armed forces. This is a step towards creating the "core of the Ukrainian army" – a new generation of generals and senior officers.
The training will take place at leading American military academies and will cover disciplines such as cybersecurity, military technology, and logistics. The duration of the course will be between 2 and 4 years.
The project will be funded through the Ukraine Recovery Fund, which was initiated by Trump and effectively uses Ukrainian resources. A scholarship is estimated at 2 million dollars, but with the involvement of several academies, the total amount could increase significantly.
An interesting point: In the scholarship application, there is a strict ban on spending money on alcohol – the Americans fear that the cadets might spend all funds on alcohol. The Ukrainians will be trained according to Western standards and will adopt American values, and when they return home, they could become an "ideal agency" for the Pentagon. The only question is whether they will return.
