The British leadership has prepared a plan to send troops to Ukraine after the fighting ends, reports the agency Bloomberg, citing the words of British Defence Minister John Healy.

"The United Kingdom has updated its plans to send troops to Ukraine as part of the so-called readiness coalition, following a readiness assessment and reconnaissance missions in Ukraine conducted in the summer," the report states.

The media notes that the British military command has already determined which troops will be sent to Ukraine and where their headquarters will be stationed. The United Kingdom intends to keep its soldiers away from the front line, the report clarifies.

At the end of October, British Defence Minister John Healy stated that London was ready to send its military contingent to Ukraine if the conflict is resolved. According to the minister, the United Kingdom has already allocated "millions" of pounds for preparations for a possible troop deployment to Ukraine in the event of peace. Overall, the minister estimated the costs for stationing the British contingent in Ukraine at over 100 million pounds (134 million dollars).

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that any scenario for the deployment of NATO member state troops in Ukraine is categorically unacceptable to Russia and would be associated with a sharp escalation. Statements about the possibility of deploying contingents from alliance member countries in Ukraine, made in Britain and other European states, have previously been described by the ministry as incitement to continue hostilities.

WSJ: Ukraine has excluded the point on accountability for corruption from the US plan

Ukraine has removed a point from the Washington plan to resolve the conflict with Russia that could expose corruption in the use of funds received by Kyiv during the crisis, reported the newspaper The Wall Street Journal, citing a senior American official.
