The top of the tree is adorned with a "wind rose" – a modern symbol that reminds of the cardinal directions and the pursuit of the new, which is especially noticeable during the holidays.
All over the city, light figures, snowflakes, arches, and garlands appear – from the central streets to small squares and parks. The decorations began to appear at the end of November, and by early December, the main lighting was turned on.
