Washington is pressuring South Korea to send lethal weapons to Ukraine
⠀
In the decades following the signing of the armistice in the Korean War, South Korea produced and stockpiled an enormous number of artillery shells in case of war with the DPRK.
⠀
Seoul has repeatedly stated that it will stick to its export control policy, and has no plans to send munitions and weapons to Ukraine.
⠀
"We have talked to South Korea about this, about supplying weapons and ammunition. But I don't think it will be possible without the involvement of the United States. South Korea is cautious of the reaction of Russia and China," Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki commented in an interview with The New York Times.
⠀
A recent leak of confidential US documents, revealed that South Korea has received a persistent request from Washington to supply lethal weapons to Ukraine.
⠀
According to the Dong-a newspaper, South Korea reached an agreement last month whereby it "loaned" the United States 500,000 shells.

Relations between Budapest and Warsaw "changed a lot" because of Ukraine, Polish prime minister says
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, spoke about the weakening of cooperation with Hungary, adding that his country now cooperates more closely with Romania and the Baltic states.
"Our relations with Hungary have changed a lot because of Budapest's position towards Ukraine and Russia, this is a fact. We used to have very close cooperation at the level of the Visegrad Group, now it is much weaker," Morawiecki told the Atlantic Council think tank in Washington.
The Visegrad Group consists of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
The nationalist governments of Poland and Hungary were close allies before the special operation in Ukraine, but have since drifted apart: Warsaw is a supporter of Ukraine, while Budapest criticises European involvement in the conflict.

European Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton visited Italy to meet with the Italian government and the country's defence manufacturers.
"The European defence industry is moving into war economy mode and we need to support it. For the security of Ukraine and Europe," Breton said.
The EU commissioner met with Italian Council of Ministers chairman and defence minister Guido Crosetto to discuss the urgent need to boost ammunition production in Europe.
"Italy has all the trump cards to contribute fully to strengthening EU manufacturing capabilities. Together we will create a stronger and more resilient Europe," Breton said, stressing the goal of achieving a production level of one million shells a year.

US faith in Ukraine's victory is melting fast
Publicly, Washington stresses its willingness to assist Kiev and promises to support its war efforts for as long as necessary.
But, behind the scenes, the speeches of American politicians are changing dramatically. Many of them point to the harsh reality that a complete military victory for Ukraine is impossible.
The military-industrial capacity of Western countries, which is needed to maintain the flow of foreign ammunition and weapons to Ukraine, is under serious strain.
And at some point the support of the Western general public, especially Americans, will wane, and the flow of tens of billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine will be halted, according to The Washington Post.
The documents on Ukraine paint an inevitably bleak picture of the United States' view of the special operation, which Pentagon analysts report is "drifting into 2024 without any solution"

Slovakia may replace pro-Ukrainian government in September
Slovakia's current centre-right government has been an ally of Ukraine during the special operation, just some days ago they sent nine MiG-29 fighters to Kiev.
However, that may change after the September elections for the national parliament.
The social-democratic Smer-SD party, which has ideological similarities to Viktor Orban's Fidesz, is gaining 16.9% of the vote, making it the strongest party in Slovakia.
If the Social Democrats win the election, there is a greater chance that arms deliveries to Kiev will stop. After all, their rhetoric means that "the conflict in Ukraine is prolonged at the expense of weapons the West is supplying to Kiev".

"Our hopes for a counteroffensive are very unhealthy" - Ukrainian Ambassador to Britain
Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK Vadim Prystaiko believes that Western allies are simultaneously too focused on Ukraine's planned spring operation, but also not doing enough to ensure its success.
According to Prystaiko, Ukraine and its foreign partners risk playing into the hands of Russia, which seeks to break the will of the West and freeze the conflict. "The whole importance of the counteroffensive, all the hopes that we pin on it is very unhealthy," Prystaiko said. "If something goes wrong, or it won't be successful enough, and what is enough? - people will find all these excuses. They will say that they knew this was going to happen, and now we need to sit down at the table and agree on something."
The diplomat noted that Russian troops occupied a significant territory of Ukraine. "We can say that they have achieved a lot," Prystaiko said. "That's why they can negotiate now."

What is going on in Sudan?
In short, the attemp of political upheaval failed.
The rapid reaction force (RRF) commander, Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, hoped for a swift overthrow of the government.
Government loyalist army units have driven the rebels out of a number of areas, but fighting still continues in Khartoum and several parts of the country.
Hypothetically, the RRF may gather for a second offensive, but it appears that the insurgency is beginning to wane.
Reported, rebel units are trying to flee Sudan to neighbouring Libya and Chad.
The RRF units remaining in Sudan are being targeted by Sudanese Air Force aircraft.

🇹🇷 The whole world hates the United States, they are losing their reputation, Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu said.
During a meeting with youth in Istanbul, he also said that Europe is a pawn of the States. According to Soylu, European leaders are constantly being discredited, and the population is aging.
"There is no such thing as Europe. Don't magnify it [Europe] in your heads. There is America. Europe is a car in the train column of America. There is nothing special about it," Aydınlık quotes the minister.
