▪️In recent weeks, shelling of border areas in the Belgorod region has not subsided.

The most massive attacks occurred in the Shebekinsky and Graivoron districts, where shells damaged several dozen civilian facilities.

▪️The AFU once again used an American HIMARS MLRS to launch strikes on the Luhansk People's Republic.

In Kreminna, a rocket hit destroyed the entrance of an apartment building. At least one woman was killed.

▪️Ukrainian units continue to attempt flank counterattacks near Bakhmut.

Russian forces are holding back the enemy pressure, maintaining a stable defense line.

▪️The AFU units carry on their daily shelling of populated areas in the Donetsk agglomeration.

Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in the DPR capital and suburbs came under fire: one was killed and three others were wounded.

▪️In the area of the Vremivka salient, the AFU resumed the assault on Russian positions near Novodarivka and Rivnopil.

Russian troops repulsed all attacks by the enemy, forcing them to return to the initial lines.

▪️However, to the east the reinforced armored group of the AFU managed to take up positions in the village of Novodonetske.

A minor local success cost the Ukrainian command significant losses in manpower and equipment.

🔴At 2 am on June 6, the Kakhovskaya HPP near Kherson was attacked, leading to destruction of key valves. The water is now being discharged uncontrollably downstream, creating risks for the settlements down the river, particularly Nova Kakhovka, controlled by Russia.

The Russia-appointed mayor Nova Kakhovka, Vladimir Leontyev, early morning confirmed that “At about 2 am, a number of numerous strikes were carried out on the Kakhovka HPP, which destroyed the“ valves ”. As a result, water from the Kakhovka reservoir began to be discharged uncontrollably downstream.”

Ukraine's Operational Command South (OC South) said the HPP was blown up by the Russian troops, while the Russian side (MOD hasn’t yet officially commented) blamed Ukraine for the attacks leading to destruction of the structure (tha HPP was being shelled since September last year, after Russians retreated form Kherson).

Belgium will demand an explanation from Kiev over the use of its weapons near Belgorod

The Belgian Foreign Ministry and Defence Ministry will appeal to Ukraine over the use of Belgian weapons by the DRG, which entered the territory of the Belgorod Region.
