The media reports of the United States intending to supply Kiev with depleted uranium ammunition for Abrams tanks have not pleased Americans and Europeans. The internet was flooded with their indignant comments.

"Another escalation we were told wouldn't happen".
▪️ People mention the enormous and criminal harm of such shells: "it's not insanity, it's a crime".
"Even neighbouring Hungary received 80 times excess in background radiation when NATO bombed Serbia in the 90s".
"The US and the UK should be condemned and held accountable."
▪️ Some commentators suggested that things in Ukraine had "gone wrong" for the US and that Joe Biden's administration needed to "cover up" its domestic policy failures as well.

Ukraine wants to buy 1,000 Swedish IFVs
According to the Czech publication CZDefence, the governments of Ukraine, Slovakia and the Czech Republic have signed a memorandum on the joint purchase and maintenance of the CV90 IFVs.
The agreement envisages cooperation in the field of maintenance of the armoured vehicles, as well as in production of those vehicles by companies of the three countries.

🇪🇺🇺🇦 EU to ask explosives manufacturers to prioritize aid to Ukraine - Defense News
EU authorities have proposed a "temporary emergency measure" that would require explosives manufacturers to give priority to orders to produce munitions that are then shipped to Ukraine.
The plan has raised alarm among EU members and explosives manufacturers, who fear that trade secrets could be revealed and competitors would be forced to bail each other out.
Such plans are part of the union's decision to increase production of ammunition, especially 155 mm artillery shells, to help Kiev.
The EU has allocated €1 billion to compensate EU members for the shells they transfer from their stocks, and another €1 billion to fund the joint purchase of more ammunition from the EU and Norway.
Under a third initiative, the EU will finance member states' investments in factories and speed up the issuance of permits for the construction of new facilities to speed up production.
The third initiative also aims to have the EU assume the role of industry arbitrator and mediator, who can ask firms selling raw materials to give priority to companies that produce ammunition (which lack the necessary materials).
But manufacturers are already raising concerns that the EU is becoming too proactive in managing the continent's ammunition business, an EC spokesman said.

The village of Gornal' came under fire: windows in one of the houses were broken. Civilians were not injured.
▪️In the Starobil's'k direction, Russian troops continue to expand their zone of control in the forest area near Kreminna.
The enemy is launching counterattacks to stabilize the front line, but they are all successfully repelled.
▪️North of the Avdiivka fortification, medium-intensity position fighting continues near Krasnohorivka.
All attempts by the enemy to take the lead only end in significant losses
▪️At the same time, Russian troops attempted to storm the eastern districts of Avdiivka.
The advance units cut into the enemy's defenses and uncovered AFU firing positions, which are currently being hit with artillery strikes.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, retired American Colonel Dick Black discusses the first results of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
He calls the Russian defense a "steel wall" against which entire echelons of Western armor are being smashed.
“We just see Bradleys and Leopards burning in dozens of places,” Black wrote on his Twitter.
"Ukrainians are told to fight to the last man, but it is absolutely inhumane to send personnel to certain death," the veteran of the US Armed Forces said.

The State Duma wants to radically address the issue of paedophilia in Russia
MPs from the LDPR have prepared a bill on chemical castration of paedophiles.
The group is due to submit a draft law on the drug-induced methods of sexual libido suppression for paedophiles to the government for comment on Monday. It would provide for hormonal drugs to be administered to convicted sex offenders six months before their release. The need for a repeat procedure would have to be determined by a special expert.
I am personally in favour of physical castration of paedophiles rather than chemical castration. And I don't think I'm the only one in favour of it.

— wheat is less profitable than opium, so planting the crop is not profitable
— as the price of heroin rises in the EU, addicts will suffer
By this logic, we should allow contract killers to work, because now they have to break the law
