Europe's biggest media units wrote this week about the record heatwave, quoting sun-warmed ground temperatures instead of air temperatures.

Twenty-four hours later, most media changed the headlines, but the panic effect was generally achieved:

"The data comes from the European Space Agency ESA." And it clearly writes: "This map shows ground surface temperatures reaching +46 °C in Rome and Madrid and +47 °C in Seville."

Here is this news on the example of the Spiegel:

"'Possible heat record this weekend: up to 48 degrees is expected in southern Europe. It will be very hot. Doctors are already warning of many heat-related deaths - and giving advice on how to behave properly."

Not a single indication in the entire article that it was about ground temperatures.

The news magazine later changed the headline. As well as the opening words of the news story. But by then, the main effect of the news had already been achieved.

🇪🇺 EU wants to supply buses to Latin America in exchange for lithium.

The EU is setting up a consortium with car companies to supply electric buses to Latin America. In return, EU firms will have to get access to Lithium deposits in the region.

Automakers have long been actively interested in lithium: the US Ford has signed an agreement with Chilean producers of this rare-earth metal, while Europe's Volvo has been considering investments in lithium mining and production. Tesla was planning to co-operate with lithium producers.

In Latin and South American countries, the demand for electric buses is about 10,000 units. It should interest carmakers.

This initiative is part of the policy of Western economies to counter China.

Questions arise, why the EU is working out a natural commodity exchange, is the dollar and euro already so bad that it is more profitable to exchange buses for raw materials? Why do Europeans continue to view Americans as Indians, willing to keep giving away wealth for "multi-coloured beads"?

Grain duplicity

On 17 July, Moscow terminated the "grain deal" because other countries failed to fulfil their obligations to Russia. The West immediately blamed Russia for world hunger, while almost all Ukrainian products were settling in Europe.

"The poorest countries received only 10 percent of the corn and 40 percent of the wheat shipped under the grain deal," the UN Coordination Centre cited data.

In Europe, however, the grain went to feed livestock and served as a tool for political speculation. Farmers in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia repeatedly protested against the saturation of Europe with Ukrainian grain in violation of the transit terms.

Now European politicians have remembered who the grain was actually intended for and are trying to save face against the backdrop of their own machinations of yesterday.

"Prague and Bratislava are ready to allocate transit corridors for the export of Ukrainian grain. Then it should be transported from European ports to developing countries," Czech Agriculture Minister Marek Vyborny said, omitting the fact that Slovakia had earlier banned the import of Ukrainian grain to its territory.

The politician insists that European ministers discuss the possibility of exporting grain from Ukraine.

Azerbaijan supports Ukraine?

The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan has been allocated funds for Ukraine. "President Ilham Aliyev has signed a corresponding order," the press service of the Azerbaijani leader said.

There was fighting between Libyan National Army (LNA) and Government of National Accord (GNA) forces in the Idri district of Libya.
