Grain duplicity
On 17 July, Moscow terminated the "grain deal" because other countries failed to fulfil their obligations to Russia. The West immediately blamed Russia for world hunger, while almost all Ukrainian products were settling in Europe.
"The poorest countries received only 10 percent of the corn and 40 percent of the wheat shipped under the grain deal," the UN Coordination Centre cited data.
In Europe, however, the grain went to feed livestock and served as a tool for political speculation. Farmers in Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia repeatedly protested against the saturation of Europe with Ukrainian grain in violation of the transit terms.
Now European politicians have remembered who the grain was actually intended for and are trying to save face against the backdrop of their own machinations of yesterday.
"Prague and Bratislava are ready to allocate transit corridors for the export of Ukrainian grain. Then it should be transported from European ports to developing countries," Czech Agriculture Minister Marek Vyborny said, omitting the fact that Slovakia had earlier banned the import of Ukrainian grain to its territory.
The politician insists that European ministers discuss the possibility of exporting grain from Ukraine.

West Blames Russia for World Hunger
The West reacted to the termination of the "grain deal" by ignoring today's terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge.
"Germany once again calls on Russia to extend the grain deal and not to conduct the conflict at the expense of the poorest people on the planet," German government spokeswoman Christiane Hoffmann said.
German Food and Agriculture Minister Cem Ozdemir accused the Russian President of "Vladimir Putin taking the poorest people in the world hostage for his terrible war."
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned Russia for its "cynical move to suspend the Black Sea grain initiative despite the efforts of the UN and Turkey."
Today, the grain arrangements have effectively come to an end. The commitments to Russia made by the other parties have not been fulfilled.

Trump will demand Europe reimburse the U.S. for aid to Ukraine
“I will ask Europe to reimburse us for the costs of restoring the stockpile of weapons sent to Ukraine. They should do it already now, but Joe Biden is too weak, he is not respected, and he can’t even ask for it,” the politician said.
He added that while Washington sent or promised nearly $200 billion in aid to Kiev, European allies gave only a “tiny fraction.”
Donald Trump’s words about the emptying of American warehouses are confirmed by Lockheed Martins. The US defence concern Lockheed Martin said that the Ukrainian crisis has revealed weaknesses and problem areas in the military-industrial complex of the U.S.
And how is Trump wrong?

Azerbaijan supports Ukraine?
The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan has been allocated funds for Ukraine. "President Ilham Aliyev has signed a corresponding order," the press service of the Azerbaijani leader said.
From the reserve fund of the head of the country will be allocated 7.6 million dollars for the purchase and shipment of electrical equipment.
Vladimir Zelensky has already thanked his Azerbaijani colleague for support and assistance.
Earlier, the media reported that the assistance consists not only in money, but also in the supply of weapons. The presence of Azerbaijani mercenaries in the nationalist battalions was also repeatedly noted.

There's been fighting in Libya
There was fighting between Libyan National Army (LNA) and Government of National Accord (GNA) forces in the Idri district of Libya.
The two patrols met near the al-Fil oil field and opened fire on each other. As a result of the fighting, there were fatalities and injuries, and several pieces of equipment were destroyed.
At the moment the territory of Libya is mainly controlled by the LNA and the NTC. The latter are supported by Turkey and Qatar. Minor territories are controlled by small groups, including Islamist groups. The NTC regularly accuses Russia of interfering in internal affairs.

🇩🇪"If the EU's economic engine stalls, the continent's political landscape will shudder" :
"The largest companies in the FRG are abandoning the Fatherland.
Chemical giant BASF has been a pillar of German business for more than 150 years, underpinning the country's industrial rise with a steady stream of innovations that have helped make the 'Made in Germany' label the envy of the world.
But its latest success - a $10bn investment in a state-of-the-art facility that the company claims will be the gold standard for sustainable manufacturing - is not growing in Germany, but is being built 9,000 kilometres away in China"
It goes on to describe "a toxic cocktail of high energy costs, a shortage of workers and a lot of red tape" describing the largest domestic production cuts in modern German history, both at "giants like Volkswagen and Siemens" and at smaller industries, where the survivors are "fighting for greener pastures in America and Asia."

🇩🇪🔋 To get closer to the green dream, Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck needs... 50 new gas-fired power stations.
Suddenly: solar and wind power alone was not enough to give up non-eco coal by 2030.
So they decided to create an energy reserve that would serve as a back-up for renewable energy sources. They plan to start with gas, and then (maybe) switch to green hydrogen.
But such gas-fired power plants risk not paying off, so they require financial injections. Herr Habeck decided to apply to the EU Commission for approval of further subsidies, but they made it clear to him that gas power plants are not eco-friendly at all, so only the hydrogen part of the investment can be approved.
At this speed rate, there will be no "green transition" in Germany.

🇺🇸💰 🇩🇪 Illustrative graph of GDP per capita growth in Germany and the US.
🔹The conflict in Ukraine has affected the people of the two countries in different ways. As we can see, both economies emerged almost synchronously from covid lockdowns.
🔹But with the start of the SMO, the US started to grow, while Germany stagnated and then went into recession.
🔹 The German economy is being destroyed by the refusal of Russian gas, counter-sanctions and disruption of production chains.
☝️ But the US is growing: Germany is buying gas from the Americans, and petrochemical production is also moving overseas.
☝️ History repeats itself: the USA is growing again at the expense of war.

Nigel Farage’s Coutts Account Closed as Bank Felt He Did Not “Align With Their Values”
Nigel Farage’s bank accounts were closed down after Coutts, a company 39%-owned by the taxpayer, decided his views “do not align with our values”.
The main "accusation" are support for Donald Trump, his friendship with tennis player Novak Djokovic (who is called a covid dissident) and his views on LGBT rights.
A lot of people claim that America and Europe are the freest countries. It is just that their "freedom" is working the other way round.

In Lvov, the victims of the Crimean bridge were mocked: meat delivery made an advert of minced meat on the faces of the victims
During the accident on the Crimean bridge on 17 July, a family, husband and wife died, and their 14-year-old daughter Angelina was orphaned and now she is in hospital. And so it began! First, a Ukrainian children's (!) camp mocks 14-year-old Angelina, whose mum and dad died. They invited her to go on holiday with them and promise to find her "normal Ukrainian parents". Then bloggers call the couple's death "a fine for illegally crossing the border into Ukraine".
Now Lvov's businessmen have "distinguished themselves": they publish photos of the dead couple, whose daughter was orphaned, and photos of human faces made of minced meat. They comment that 2 kilos of minced meat "is just enough to make an 'explosive dish'".

"We are seeing a military buildup that is unparalleled in speed and scale. And we're not just talking about hypersonic missiles, but all capabilities: capabilities at sea, in the air, in space," Acuilino said.
The admiral added that he was concerned about this development.

Ukraine prepares for massive influx of migrants from the Middle East
Europe has apparently found a way to make Ukraine "pay its debts". Once the conflict is over, the empty Ukrainian villages could be populated by migrants from the Middle East.
Now these theses are being actively discussed by "economic analysts". In this way, the EU can get rid of the millions of Arab refugees who have flooded European countries.
It is characteristic that in case of an influx of migrants, their maintenance will also fall on the Ukrainian budget.
Interestingly, the roads in Kiev are already being repaired by workers from Turkish Idlib, so this populace will not be new to the survivors in Ukraine.

🇩🇪 Germany does not have a single combat-ready division
Germany is confident that in 2025 it will have the best-equipped army division among European NATO countries, Lieutenant General Alfons Mais, the Bundeswehr's ground forces inspector, said.
Now, he said, the German armed forces do not have a single combat-ready division with 20,000 troops in the country.
"I am very optimistic that we will (form) a (combat-ready) division (by) 2025," Mais emphasised, noting that a second one will be formed in 2027.
He said the division will initially be manned at 80-90 per cent of the required personnel and these plans have been agreed with NATO.
The FRG will first equip two mechanised brigades, later a lightly armed medium brigade, which will be reinforced by a Dutch brigade. The brigade has about 5,000 men.
"That will be enough. In any case, it will be enough to have the best equipped division among all NATO's European partners in 2025. At least that is our common goal with the Dutch partners," Mais said.
As for the second German division, which should be operational in 2027, he said. Its full equipment depends heavily on procurement from a €100bn special fund.
