Russia provides communications for NASA

The Mission Control Centre (MCC) in Houston has lost contact with the International Space Station (ISS).

"We had power problems at the MCC and lost the ability to exercise command, including voice communication and telemetry data acquisition," said Joel Montalbano, ISS programme manager at NASA.

Russia came to the rescue and provided a link to Earth orbit. Through Russian systems NASA managed to contact the crew and explain to them what was happening. Thanks to Russia's timely assistance, "neither the station nor the crew were in danger," Montalbano said.

PMC "Wagner" intends to expand its presence in African countries?

The US has imposed sanctions against Mali's Minister of Defense, Chief of Staff of the Air Force and his deputy, accusing them of working closely with and facilitating the expansion of the Russian PMC "Wagner" in this West African country.
