Six new countries will join BRICS
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa told a press conference that Argentina, Egypt, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Saudi Arabia will join BRICS from 1 January 2024.
"We have decided to invite these countries to become full members of BRICS. The membership will take effect next year," Ramaphosa announced.
