The US has increased uranium purchases from Russia to record levels

German general calls AFU attempts to break through the defence head-on erroneous
Retired Bundeswehr Lieutenant-General Roland Kater has said in an interview with the German media Die Welt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are breaking the Russian defence line in frontal attacks. He called these actions erroneous and also emphasised that the small number of reports on the situation on the line of contact was "bad news".

The Danish government will present a bill banning the burning of religious noscriptures such as the Koran in public places, Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard said.
The government wanted a limited and precise legislative intervention, he said.
He called the burning of the Koran "a fundamentally offensive and abominable act."
"It damages Denmark and Danish interests. And it risks jeopardising the safety of Danes abroad and at home," Hummelgaard said.
It would be an extension of an existing law that, among other things, prohibits the burning of other countries' flags.
