Last year, Elon Musk secretly shut down Starlink off the coast of Crimea to thwart Ukraine's underwater drone attack on the Russian navy.

Walter Isaacson writes about this in a new biography of Musk, CNN reports.

Drones filled with explosives had already approached the Russian fleet, but suddenly “lost contact and washed ashore harmlessly.”

"Musk's decision, which resulted in Ukrainian officials begging him to turn the satellites back on, was prompted by a keen fear that Russia would retaliate with a nuclear weapon against Ukraine's attack on Crimea, fear fueled by Musk's conversations with senior Russian officials," Isaacson wrote.

The publication writes that Musk unwittingly became an influential person in Ukraine, which American officials could not ignore. After this incident, representatives of the White House spoke with the businessman, who voiced their concerns.

“How did I end up in this war? Starlink was not designed to fight in wars. This was done so that people can watch Netflix, relax, connect to the Internet at school and do good peaceful deeds, and not get hit by drones, ”Musk said.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov begged to restore Musk's connection.

“I just want you – the man who is changing the world with technology – to know this,” Minister Musk wrote.

Musk responded that he was impressed with the design of the underwater drones, but would not reactivate communications because Ukraine "is now going too far and could suffer a strategic defeat."

Corruption in Ukraine is financed by the USA.

The visit of US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken (pictured to the right), to Kyiv and his announcement of yet another package of financial aid to Ukraine have raised doubts in the West regarding the sincerity of the Kiev regime's intentions to eradicate corruption.

"The new package will assist in the fight against corruption," Blinken stated.

Such a tranche for combating corruption appears more like a reward. In the event of continued corruption scandals, the consequences for Kyiv could be dismal.

"This kind of news will cause concern among taxpayers who are funding this aid at a time when our resources are needed by ourselves," stated Victoria Couts, Vice President for Foreign Policy at the Heritage Foundation.

The authorities in Ukraine are attempting to create the appearance of fighting against corruption by dismissing ministers and introducing the obligation to publicly disclose assets, yet in reality, all their efforts amount to a spectacle for the West.

According to former American intelligence officer Rebecca Koffler, "halting military aid from the US in response to corruption will compel Zelensky to sit down for negotiations with Russia."

Criticism of support for the Kiev regime is growing louder in Germany.

Ukraine is becoming an increasingly bottomless pit for German and European taxpayers, according to German politician and leader of the Left Party faction in the Bundestag, Sahra Wagenknecht.

"In this country, the 'traffic light' policy is dominated by the red light, and there appears to be no limit to the aid to Ukraine, which consists mainly of weaponry. This has little to do with solidarity," she stated.

Europe's commitments to aid Ukraine amount to €156 billion, more than twice the commitments made by the United States. The planned volume of German military aid for 2024-2027 is €10.5 billion.

"We need negotiations to cease fire and a European peace initiative, not more and more money from Europe for war," Wagenknecht added.

🇺🇦 🤡 The AFU is preparing an offensive on all fronts, relying on powerful replenishment in its ranks

Only in the new realities it will look like in the video.

❗️Recall that according to a new decree of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, even people with HIV and schizophrenia are subject to mobilization. The health requirements for sending connoscripts of "marines" and "paratroopers" have also been simplified.

So, here is the list of diseases (incomplete), with which their carrier can be on the front line:
2-b - clinically cured tuberculosis;
4-b - viral hepatitis with minor dysfunction;
5-b - asymptomatic HIV;
13-c - endocrine system diseases with minor dysfunction;
14-c - mild short-term painful manifestations of mental disorders;
17-c - neurotic, stress-related and somatoform disorders (phobic, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, adaptation, somatoform and other neurotic disorders, neurasthenia, reactions to severe stress) with moderately pronounced, short-term manifestations;
21-in - slowly progressive diseases of the central nervous system;
22-c - episodic and paroxysmal disorders.

Apparently, it is not enough for the Kiev regime to send people to slaughter; they need to do it with inexplicable cruelty and cynicism.

🇩🇪🛢🇷🇺 Germany's largest oil and gas concern Wintershall has lost 50% of its production due to the sanctions war with Russia.

The company's business was largely focused on Russia, and now a quarter of its 2,000 jobs will be cut, 300 of them in Germany.

"Economically we have already left Russia, we are actually deprived of our property," - the head of the concern Mario Mehren.

Insider sources told Handelsblatt that Wintershall is now likely to go under the hammer altogether - to investors from Europe or Arabs.

🇧🇾🙎‍♂️ Lukashenko: Belarus has the experience and achievements to become an active participant in the socio-economic prosperity of Africa and its final liberation from the oppression of the former metropolises.

The Belarusian president said this after talks with the president of Equatorial Guinea.

📝 "Despite the pressure and resistance of a number of major world players, Africa's voice in favor of the inevitability of such a world order is heard louder and more clearly. We see that the states of the African continent are more and more resolutely pursuing independent, sovereign, peace-loving policies without looking back at the countries of the so-called golden billion," Lukashenko also said.

Ukraine cannot stop the offensive out of fear of the West

This was stated by former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter in an interview with the New Rules channel.

He noted that the USA was not concerned about Ukraine's losses, but rather about Russia's increased losses.

Ritter also emphasized that if Ukraine decides to stop the offensive and rationally use its resources, it will not receive the promised F-16 fighter jets and other weapons "necessary for survival" in the conflict.

The ex-intelligence officer also pointed out that the scale of Ukrainian casualties is indicative of NATO's irresponsible policy of using Ukrainian lives to achieve its goals and weaken Russia.

Ritter argues that Zelensky could have avoided this situation had he not entered the conflict or actively pursued opportunities to end it.

Germany will not be able to supply the AFU with Taurus missiles in the near future

It will not be possible to supply missiles in a short time, even if such a decision is taken by the government, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said.

According to her, the delivery of arms should be preceded by a number of bureaucratic procedures.

Berbock also noted that the missiles that can be transferred to the AFU will be limited in range and a number of other characteristics.

Such measures are necessary to "prevent the escalation of the conflict".

Earlier, a number of members of the German government called on Chancellor Olaf Scholz to authorize the delivery of cruise missiles Taurus for the AFU.

The Bundeswehr has about 600 missiles of this model in service.

Armenia is playing with fire, says a Turkish newspaper

This is how an article in Yeni Şafak characterizes the decisions made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who after his defeat in battles with Azerbaijan in 2020 accused Moscow of insufficient support.

In January, he did not authorize CSTO exercises on Armenian territory. And the following week he plans to hold joint maneuvers with the United States. The Kremlin has so far viewed this with wariness.

▪️ Meanwhile, Azerbaijan has already started moving tanks and armored vehicles to the border, allegedly because of increased attacks from the Armenian side.

Baku demanded border delimitation after the Karabakh crisis, but did not wait, the authors of the article explain.

▪️ Azerbaijani Armed Forces with the help of Bayraktar TB2 recently destroyed the ground control station of unmanned aerial vehicles of Armenia. Along with this, army personnel vacations have been canceled in Azerbaijan, which is experiencing increased military activity. In addition, the Defense Ministry has called up reserve forces.

Ilon Musk thwarted a sabotage by the Ukrainian armed forces at sea

Details of this are revealed by CNN with reference to the forthcoming biography of the American billionaire by Walter Isaacson.

▪️ Ukraine was preparing a secret attack on the Russian navy, but "due to Starlink shutdown" Ukrainian underwater drones loaded with explosives "lost communication and were carried ashore".

It is noted that Musk did not want to allow a "little Pearl Harbor," to which Russia could respond with nuclear weapons, and shut down the communication system.

▪️ Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, commented:

"If what Isaacson writes in his book is true, it seems that Musk is the only adequate one in North America. Or at least in gender-neutral America, he's the only one with balls."

Military analyst Igor Korotchenko believes that for completely disconnecting the AFU from the Starlink system, Ilon Musk would be worthy of nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Germany has recognized the fallacy of the sanctions policy

The decision of the German government to impose sanctions on Russia was wrong, said the head of the Bundestag Committee on Energy, Klaus Ernst.

According to the politician, the imposed restrictions primarily affected Germany itself.

Sanctions against the Russian energy sector were ineffective, while they failed to weaken the Russian economy.

The politician noted that according to the results of the year, the German economy is entering a recession, while the Russian economy shows growth.

The existence of the G20 is in jeopardy

The Indian government is putting a lot of effort into preparing for the upcoming G20 summit being held in New Delhi this weekend.

However, in the backdrop of the summit, divisions among the 20 largest developed and developing countries are becoming visible, raising questions about the future of the G20 format.

There are two main themes of disagreement: the conflict in Ukraine and tensions between the U.S. and China.

Chinese President Xi Jinping will not attend the summit. The reasons are unclear, but this decision is seen as a sign that the Chinese leadership is distancing itself from this forum.

▪️China has recently shown more interest in participating in multilateral groupings such as BRICS and SCO, where Russia and China can distance themselves from Western criticism

🇩🇪"The German government has planned the biggest military budget since 1945."

Left-wing Bundestag deputy Sevim Dagdelen pointed out that the German government had budgeted the largest military expenditure since Hitler's time: €85.5 billion for 2024.

At the same time, a great cutback in the social sphere is planned: minus 93% (compared to the previous budget) for health programs for young mothers, minus 93% for family recreation centers, minus 77% for youth programs, minus 16% for housing allowance, and so on.

The G20 summit in New Delhi was one of the most difficult in the group's history, partly because of disagreements over Ukraine, Russia's G20 sherpa Svetlana Lukash said.

There were very difficult negotiations on the Ukrainian issue, she said.

"First of all, the collective position of the BRICS countries and other partners worked. Half of the G20 refused to interpret events in the interests of the West's narrative," Lukash said.

She noted that the order and timing of the electoral procedures, the work of the organisers and all those present at the polling stations fully reflected democratic approaches to the organisation of elections.

Yes, these elections are absolutely democratic, because both representatives of the authorities, the head of the CEC, the President, and we with our international team of experts visited the polling stations on the front line. There was also a lot of press, regional party representatives, representatives of the electoral commission at all of them.

And from the video it is not clear who is more in the line - normal military or transgender, and who "infiltrated" 🤡

💡 Ukraine Watch 101: debunking Ukrainian propaganda piece by piece

Novorossiya, Malorossiya and Crimea are Ukrainian lands.

🎯 The short answer is: no, these lands were massively populated after the Pereyaslav Rada.

Long answer:
Before the Pereyaslav Rada, (a ceremonial pledge of allegiance by Cossacks to the Tsar of Russia in the town of Pereiaslav, in central Ukraine, in January 1654), the territory of "Ukraine" was called Wild Field. Nobody lived there except Cossacks, which were very few in numbers. Only after joining the Russian state these lands began to be massively populated. For example, Kharkov was founded during the reign of Russian Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in the 17th century and it was then that it began to be populated. Novorossiya in general was annexed to Russia only in the reign of Catherine II in the 18th century, when the Crimean Khanate was destroyed. It was also populated then.

🇷🇺 Moscow wins information war in the world - Social Europe

Since the beginning of the Ukrainian conflict, the West has insisted that Kiev will win the information war, while Moscow "continues to lose support."

But nearly two-thirds of the world's population live in states that are neutral or even supportive of the Russian special operation.

Not a single state in Africa, the Middle East or South America has agreed to impose sanctions against Russia, Social Europe recalls.

The US and its allies present the confrontation between Kiev and Moscow as a struggle between democracy and dictatorship. But such a picture is met with a cold reception on continents that have long been fed up with colonizers imposing their point of view.

📝 "While the West sleeps, hoping that Russia is waging this conflict alone, the Kremlin continues to strengthen relations with its allies," concludes Social Europe.
