💥🇷🇺🇺🇦🇩🇪RIA Novosti: Russian military blew up an AFU Leopard tank with a German crew
Russian servicemen have destroyed a German Leopard tank with a crew of Bundeswehr soldiers in the North-Eastern European Military District. Previously, the German Defense Ministry denied that the country's Armed Forces were involved in the hostilities in Ukraine.
According to the commander of the Russian reconnaissance group with the call sign "Legend", a Russian anti-tank guided missile hit its target and the Russian servicemen headed to the burned vehicle, looking for a prisoner to get information from.
"And we found that the tank's mechanic-driver was seriously wounded, while the rest were killed. When the mechanic came to his senses and saw us, he started shouting "nicht schissen" ("don't shoot" in German)", said the group commander.
He specified that the mechanic was not a mercenary, but a member of a paricular company of the Bundeswehr, and so were the other crew members. The wounded man named his brigade and its location. He was treated but died of his wounds.
"I asked the doctor how much longer he could live, and the doctor said: a few more minutes. I told the German that his wound was too severe and he had no chance to survive. He said he loved his child and wife very much and regretted agreeing to come here. We started to prepare him for evacuation, but he passed away after a couple of minutes ," the source said.
The participation of Bundeswehr servicemen in the hostilities on the side of Ukraine was never reported before.
💬 "Of course, Bundeswehr servicemen are in no way involved in the hostilities. If you are asking about German citizens, I have no information about this," German Defense Ministry spokesman Arne Kollatz said in April.

The crashed F-35 may have been hacked
Turkish news outlet Haber7 has analysed the possible causes of the incident with the US F-35 fighter jet.
A US Defence Ministry spokesman said the aircraft had thousands of cyber security weaknesses.
This opinion is also confirmed by a former Pentagon official who has been warning about security problems with the F-35 for many years:
"A software bug or cyberattack could have caused the missing aircraft to malfunction."
Dan Grazer of the DOD oversight body, wrote a report in 2019 that the F-35 is rife with cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
"There are thousands of penetration points and weaknesses throughout the enterprise through which a hacker could gain access to the software," the official recalled.
The Pentagon was aware of the software flaws, but has yet to fix the problems. Experts estimate that the aircraft's ability to perform missions is only 26%!

🇭🇺 🇸🇪 Hungary unlikely to approve Swedish NATO bid - ATV
Mate Kocsis, leader of the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democratic People's Party faction of the Hungarian parliament, said there was little chance of a vote on Sweden's NATO bid during the autumn session.
The reason for this statement is the screening in Swedish schools of a film about the alleged decline of democracy in Hungary.
According to Kocsis, Hungary is waiting for an explanation from Sweden about the film.
It seems that the Swedes overreacted when they applied for NATO membership, then regretted it, and now they are creating obstacles for themselves. One day they organise Koran burnings to annoy Turkey, and now they have decided to tease Hungary.

🌍 Austrian Foreign Minister urged the West to normalize dialogue with Russia
Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Shallenberg called on Western countries to maintain dialogue with Russia in international organizations, including the UN and the OSCE.
He said this in an interview with the Austrian Press Agency.
The minister stressed that the issues of disarmament and climate protection cannot be solved without Moscow. Dialogue with Russia directly affects security issues in the European region.
📝 "From our Western point of view, it is of course difficult," he concluded.

London wants to sue Nigeria for $11bn for allegedly breaching a gas contract.
In 2017, a London arbitration panel ruled that Nigeria would pay offshore company P&ID $6.6bn in compensation for breach of the 2010 contract. The amount has since risen to $11.4bn including interest.
Nigeria has refused to pay, claiming that P&ID bribed officials, including Grace Taiga (now a former Nigerian oil ministry official) and two other officials who once awarded the dodgy contract.

Russian Foreign Minister and UN Secretary General meet
Sergey Lavrov focused on the lack of a unified approach to different countries and regions.
It is necessary for the UN leadership and all its employees to observe the principles of impartiality, the Foreign Minister emphasized.
It is unacceptable to use "double standards" in UN statistical and other documents with regard to different territories.
▪️Lavrov urged the Secretary General to prevent the involvement of representatives of the UN structures in politicized initiatives in the context of the Ukrainian crisis. António Guterres assured that he would refrain from undertakings that do not involve all parties.
▪️ It's important to preserve the intergovernmental nature of the organization and the principle of "division of labor" between its main bodies. The views of all UN member states should be taken into account when carrying out reforms.
Russia is ready to participate in the "Summit of the Future" in 2024 and to work on its final document - the "Pact for the Future".

Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov on inviting a Ukrainian SS veteran to parliament: The Embassy sends a note to the Canadian Foreign Ministry and the Prime Minister's office demanding clarification. This is an outrage by the Trudeau regime against the history of Canada and the Canadians who gave their lives to liberate the world from Nazism as part of the anti-Hitler coalition. It is outrageous that the Chief of the Canadian General Staff Wayne Eyre clapped the hands of the SS executioner along with his colleagues in uniform. Their predecessors, who went through the Second World War, at that moment, I think, turned over in their graves. But there are many more questions for the ambassadors of the USA, Great Britain and France.
All this, of course, is not surprising for those who know the post-war history of the Cold War, when a safe haven was specially created in Canada for fugitive Nazis and Banderaites. Deputy Prime Minister Freeland - the granddaughter of a Nazi henchman - is not shy about showing off for the cameras with a black and red Bandera flag. The public in Russia must understand that a neo-Nazi nest of Ukrainian spillage has been brewing in Canada for decades. And this is a reality that we have and will still have to deal with.

The Jewish organization "Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Center" reacted to the incident. It demanded an apology and called for an explanation "as to how this man was recognized by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The speaker has already repented. He said that it was he who invited the SS man, and that he learned the details of his biography afterward.
"I would like first of all to deeply apologize to the Jewish communities in Canada and around the world. I accept full responsibility for my act."
And the opposition leader demanded an apology from the prime minister. He said the prime minister's protocol service was responsible for selecting the guests and none of the parliamentarians could have known about Hunka's dark past.
"Mr. Trudeau should personally apologize and not shift the blame to others as he usually does," he said

The South does not care about the problems of the West
The annual meeting of the UN General Assembly brought together all world leaders and many of the topics of their speeches are predictable.
The main topic for the West is the Russian military operation in Ukraine, and it occupies the main place on the agenda.
Especially since Zelensky personally came to New York this year to listen to words of support and continue begging. And while the West is unanimous in its support for Ukraine, the Global South is very cool in its response to Western calls to join and condemn Russia's actions.
The countries of the Global South, gradually freeing themselves from neo-colonial oppression, are reluctant to criticize Russia because of their deepening and improving relations with the latter. The West, on the other hand, pays attention to Africa rarely and selectively, mostly for some immediate selfish purposes. The humanitarian emergency on the continent is of concern only to Russia, but not to the West.
And now poor countries more often tell rich countries: your priorities mean no more to us than our priorities mean to you.

🇩🇪🎥 German first channel ARD found out that green LNG from the US is much dirtier than coal because:
First, LNG transportation requires large cargo ships smoking for thousands of kilometers.
Second, special port facilities that disturb harbor porpoises and other sea animals.
Third, fracking equals groundwater contamination, which then flows smoothly into the ecosystem and into people's taps. It's not the Germans, but the Americans who have such a nasty leak - so what?
Finally, the burned liquefied gas produces as much CO2 as the emissions from modern German coal-fired power plants could never dream of.

🇳🇬 Tinubu from Nigeria calls on UN to help stop exploitation of Africa's resources
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has called on the United Nations to become more active in tackling his African country's poverty and security problems and to help fight illegal resource extraction, his spokesman said.
Tinubu raised the issues when he met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Wednesday on the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The Nigerian leader said miscreants who engage in illegal activities, including resource and arms smuggling, exploit Africa's vast mineral wealth and undermine its stability.
"We will now be aggressive and question the motives. We will stop what is happening," he said, calling for "effective co-operation" with the UN.
"We now recognise the need to reform this institution so that it represents the world as it is today," Guterres said.

🇳🇪🇺🇳Nigerian authorities accuse UN secretary-general of colluding with France
"The UN secretary-general, with the connivance of France and ECOWAS Francophone heads of state, failed in his mission by not allowing Niger's participation in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly," said Amadou Abdraman, a spokesman for Niger's representative.
He said Guterres not only refused to take note of the official list of delegates from Niger, but above all "acceded to a fanatical request by Niger's former foreign minister to recall Niger's permanent representative to the UN."
"Niger strongly condemns the UN secretary-general's decision and considers it an interference in the internal affairs of the state", the official said.
In 2023, it became definitively clear that the UN has nothing to do with the freedoms and self-determination of peoples and nations.
During its existence, the organisation has not been able to stop a single military conflict. But it has always expressed "concern and awareness".
At the same time, the West has often committed its war crimes with a UN mandate in hand.

🇺🇸 Pentagon decides on new round of escalation in Ukraine
The Pentagon has started providing assistance to wounded US mercenaries involved in the fighting in Ukraine, thus entering a new phase of involvement in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. This was reported by The New York Times.
📝 "The U.S. Army has slowly begun treating wounded Americans and other fighters evacuated from Ukraine at its Landstuhl Regional Medical Centre. This marks a notable new step in deepening Washington's involvement in the conflict," the newspaper said in a piece.
It added that most of them had previously relied only on the help of Ukrainian hospitals and Western charitable organisations.
Now the Pentagon has intervened and offered the mercenaries the same assistance as the US servicemen on duty.
