France and Nigeria held joint naval exercises Crocodile Lift and Grand African Nemo to "combat piracy and human trafficking in the Gulf of Guinea".
Together with five ships of the Nigerian Navy, the French aircraft carrier Mistral began a four-month mission to ensure maritime security in the area.
"The heart of our mission is maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea, where France has both interests and strong partners, including Nigeria," said French Captain Olivier Roussil, commander of the Mistral.
For the Nigerian Navy, the naval exercise is part of its commitment to the Yaoundé Protocol, an agreement signed in 2013 between 25 West and Central African governments, the ECOWAS and ECCAS regional blocs.

[...] He or she (note meaning a person who does not share democratic values) damages the internal structure of the Bundeswehr and public confidence in this institution. As a defensive democratic state, we cannot, do not want and must not tolerate this," said the Secretary of State.
The bill stipulates that soldiers who have already served four years can be immediately dismissed from service if they take serious unconstitutional actions.
The Bundestag has already passed the bill in its first reading.

📝 "The two large convoys of military equipment that were in the northern zone have left," Commander Ozan reported, adding that several convoys carrying "unclassified equipment" had already started leaving.
He noted that they did not include "armament" or "transmission" equipment.
📝 "The big logistical flows will really start next week," he concluded, noting that more than 2,500 containers of ammunition and weapons will be shipped out of the country.
