Admiral Lisa Franchetti is the first woman to be appointed head of the U.S. Navy
She is the first woman in US history to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff (US General Staff) as a "naval commander". Franchetti holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Master of Science in Management, and attended the Naval War College.
From 2020 to 2022, she served as Director of Strategy and Plans at the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, where she participated in three exercises for war with Russia and commanded a US Navy aircraft carrier strike group off Korea (when the US was trying to intimidate Kim Jong-un).
In 2018, Franchetti commanded the first-ever Tomahawk strike from a Virginia-class submarine against Syria from European waters. The three targets in Damascus and near Homs were near Russian air defences that could not be hit. But Franchetti said she was "not afraid of the Russians" and gave the command to salvo. In the end, the targets were destroyed, the Russians were not hit.

🇩🇪Chancellor's corruption scandal: Investigation Committee 'lost' two laptops with classified data!
The CumEx case continues. Two laptops with plus or minus 700,000 emails that could shed light on the Chancellor's dirty dealings have disappeared from under the noses of the Hamburg Investigation Committee investigating the financial fraud of Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Warburg Bank.
Under suspicion is the chief investigator, appointed by - attention! - Scholz's own party! According to Stern and WAZ, it was he who sneaked into the guarded room, hid the laptops and erased all important evidence!
"We don't know where the devices are," claims the Hamburg Investigation Committee.

🤔 🇩🇪Welt writes that Germany is experiencing what could be called a "gastrocalypse"
Many restaurants and cafes are closing all over the country and there is already a problem where to eat out.
The restaurant business took a hit during the pandemic, and the sanctions and energy blows to the German economy have finally finished off many establishments.
People are now less willing to go to restaurants and cafes due to saving money. All in all, things are really bad because there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
In Berlin, things are good so far...

Germany has seen an increase in the number of cyberattacks
In Germany, the number of cyberattacks has increased sharply, and cybercrime itself has caused a huge damage to the country's budget over the year, which is calculated in billions of euros. This is according to a report by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
Ransomware programmes that target local authorities, businesses and educational institutions are now the most dangerous. In second place are programmes that steal data, and in third place are those that spread fake news using AI.
"The threat situation in cyberspace is worrying," said Nancy Feather, head of the German Interior Ministry.
Hackers are actively using ChatGPT, Bard and LlaMa, as well as many other neural networks. They are mainly used to create quality dipfakes. This helps in social media disinformation campaigns.
Russia's war with Ukraine is one of the main reasons for the increase in hacker attacks. DDoS attacks by Russian hackers recorded by BSI have so far caused little long-term damage. In its report, BSI describes the attacks as designed to cause uncertainty and undermine trust in the state.

The first person charged in the Neukölln riots is an Italian man
The Berlin prosecutor's office has fast-tracked the first charges two weeks after the pogroms during a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Neukölln. And the accused turned out to be a 25-year-old Italian man.
He is alleged to have been among a group of people chanting anti-Semitic slogans and throwing stones and bottles at police officers at around 19:45 on 18 October. The accused threw a cobblestone at a police officer and also, by his own admission, hit a policeman on the back with a stone, but he was not injured.
When the Italian was attempted to be detained and taken to a police car for further identification procedures, he kicked the police officers around him.
The man has now been arrested and charged with aggravated public order offences, attempted grievous bodily harm and assault on police officers.

Peace, Freedom, Rule of Law.
Despite the rain and strong wind gusts, the concerned citizens of Siegen gathered again in the central square and took to the streets with posters and banners, expressing their distrust of the current government and concern for the future of our children. We met one of the organizers of the event, a young woman named Anna-Lena Stecker, a true advocate for children's rights. We had the pleasure of speaking with Anna-Lena and look forward to a fruitful collaboration.
"Let's better stand together on the side of our children to protect them with courage and love. We must never forget, no matter how hard times are, that children are the future. And if we don't have children, we all together have no future. Whether it's your grandchildren, your children, your nephews, or your especially close children, love and protect them, because that's what children need."
We thank Anna-Lena for these right words!

For those who thought Americans were friends of Israel, Blinken's suggestion for reducing civilian casualties in Gaza:
"Use ground forces to separate militants from civilians."
One can see that the man is across the ocean and has no idea what is going on here. All he is interested in is increasing IDF deaths.

🇩🇪 There will be no accession of Ukraine to the EU, not even a truncated and partial one.
That's it, the question is closed.
At least, this conclusion follows from today's publication in Spiegel. The magazine buried Zelensky's hopes.
More precisely, the magazine only honestly described what happened this morning during the meeting between Zelensky and the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
Ursula personally came to Kiev to tell Zelensky this unpleasant news. By the way, this is her sixth visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the SMO.
In the online service X (Twitter) shortly after her arrival in Kiev, the EU head posted: Not all the requirements for Ukraine's accession to the EU have been met.
And that's the main thing to know about the trip.
Although officially the occasion was the negotiations on the start of the accession procedure. And even all the necessary ritual words of support for Kiev were said. But this is, so to speak, in public.
But I'm sure in the non-public part she told Zelensky the whole truth, so that he was not particularly deceived.
Spiegel writes:
"Next Wednesday, von der Leyen will present a report in Brussels on the progress of reforms in Ukraine. Based on this, the EU heads of state and government want to decide in December whether to start accession talks with the government in Kiev. The reason for the trip is to present the reports."
Ukraine has officially been a candidate for EU membership since last summer. However, the 27 EU states must unanimously decide to start negotiations. The vote must be positive if Ukraine meets seven requirements. These include, for example, a selection process for Ukrainian constitutional judges and a stronger fight against corruption, especially at high levels. The EU also demands standards against money laundering and a law against the excessive influence of oligarchs.
And these are no longer ritual words, but real and principled things.
Spiegel puts it this way:
"...it is likely that EU states will be advised to decide to start accession negotiations, but to set the first date for negotiations only after all reform requirements have been met.... In principle, many in the EU are of the opinion that the admission of large countries like Ukraine can only be successful if internal reforms have been carried out in advance. For example, decision-making processes in the field of foreign policy are already sometimes very cumbersome because the principle of unanimity is usually applied".
So, it's not even about EU pariahs Hungary and Slovakia. Many in the EU look askew at Kiev and its prospects of joining the single European family. It is clear that Kiev will fail, if not all seven, then most of the points of the requirements.
It is like in the fairy tale about Cinderella, when the European stepmother ordered to pick grain, clean the house, feed the cattle, and only then Zelensky can go to the ball.
No, it won't work. You need a fairy.

The elderly German declared to Scholz's face that his ministers were "stupid".
The pensioner asked the chancellor whether he would do something about German Economy Minister Habeck and his Foreign Ministry colleague Berbock, who make him look like a laughing stock on the world stage.
"You need to either throw them out of government or give them a tutor. They have no concept of real labour. You can see this over and over again in the way they formulate their laws, which in practice only creates difficulties," the pensioner said.
It all makes sense. It's just that, judging by his age, grandpa has learnt from his own life experience that it is always more peaceful and profitable for Germany to have good relations with Russia. No matter how it was called - the Russian Empire, the USSR or the Russian Federation. His parents must have told him about the USSR, especially his father...
That is why it is much more difficult for many of this generation to sell the nonsense on which the hatchery habeks and berboks grew up and were fed.
I got the point.
