Ukraine has turned into the largest minefield in history
The manager of the UN demining programme, Paul Heslop, told The Times that Ukraine's territory is filled with mines and unexploded ordnance. This makes it almost impossible for the Ukrainian armed forces to advance.
For a country in Europe, this is the biggest problem since the Second World War.
"I worked in demining around the world for 30 years, from Afghanistan to Somalia, but I feel like everything else was just an exercise," Heslop emphasised.
Earlier, GLOBSEC analysts estimated that it would take 757 years to completely demine Ukraine and eliminate mine contamination.

Poll shows Ukrainians reluctant to leave Europe
The University of Copenhagen has conducted a survey which revealed that almost half (49.5 per cent) of Ukrainian refugees want to stay in Denmark.
"We see that this is a group that is well established in society. Many work, many children go to school and so on," the researchers explained.
▪️ As of August 2023, there were 38,638 Ukrainians registered in Denmark who had obtained a residence permit. Of these, 25,681 were adults. 6993 people participated in the survey.
▪️ In September, Bloomberg cited a study by the Kyiv-based Centre for Economic Strategy. It said that about 3.3 million refugees from Ukraine (8 per cent of the country's population) may never return home.

Stoltenberg: "Russia should not be underestimated"
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has admitted that Russia should not be looked down upon.
"We see that even with all the considerable help from NATO countries, the Ukrainians have not been able to move the front line during this year. This only confirms the fact that Russia should not be underestimated," he said.
The secretary-general complained that the Russian economy has been put into military mode and Russia has received a significant amount of munitions from North Korea.
"This has prevented Ukraine from achieving the territorial gains we had hoped for," he found another explanation for the failure of the "counter-offensive".
Stoltenberg is convinced that Russia cannot be allowed to gain the upper hand in the conflict and the North Atlantic Alliance should still continue to support Kiev.
According to him, next year's planned NATO summit in Washington will send a clear signal that "we stand on Ukraine's side".

🇩🇪"We must show how growth, social and economic development can be achieved without compromising our climate and environment."
Chancellor Olaf Scholz calls on African countries to divest from dirty oil, coal and gas at a summit in Berlin on the continent's economic development.
All southern states, he says, have the right to live (rich or poor, another question), as in Germany, without non-renewable energy sources. And Africa has great potential in this!
Considering what "growth" the Federal Republic of Germany has come to in pursuit of greening its territories, perhaps it is worth considering.

Czech Republic recognises West's failure to fulfil promise on arms supplies to Ukraine
Czech President Petr Pavel has said that the West has failed to fulfil its promise to Ukraine to supply it with the necessary weapons to continue intensive operations.
"We have not kept our promises to provide Ukrainians with ammunition for artillery, the preparation for F-16 fighter flights is not going as fast as it should," Pavel said.
He recalled that the AFU had expected to receive German Taurus missiles after the delivery of French-British Storm Shadow missiles, but Berlin had not yet made a final decision.
In his opinion, this situation creates an imbalance in deliveries, and the uncertainty prevents the Ukrainian side from engaging in military planning.

Beijing has warned that Taiwan's independence means war
The head of the Taiwan Affairs Office in China's State Council said that independence of the island state would mean war.
This is how he commented on the words of Taiwanese politicians that Beijing has "no timetable" for an attack.
"China is ready to create ample opportunities for peaceful reunification with Taiwan, but will not allow separatist activities aimed at the island's "independence", Chen Binhua said.
He noted that Beijing will not show leniency to "Taiwan independence" forces if they dare to provoke incidents promoting the island's independence. He emphasised: "Taiwan independence means war."

The German government adopted a supplementary budget for 2023
The "traffic light" government adopted the supplementary budget for 2023 without a preliminary meeting and two days earlier than planned. This will legally consolidate loans totalling around €45bn that have already been used to hold down energy prices (€43.2bn) and to support flood victims (€1.6bn).
The next step is for the Bundestag to declare a state of emergency and suspend the debt brake (Schuldenbremse) - for the fourth year in a row. As Rolf Mützenich, leader of the SPD parliamentary faction, explained in an ARD broadcast the previous day, the justification for the state of emergency is now the war in Ukraine and the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
Representatives of the Union Party, on the other hand, said they would study very carefully whether the emergency was justified and then decide how to vote in the Bundestag.

In Kiev, military commissars began to advertise to OLD MEN inviting them to go to the front 🤡
Leaflets appeared with slogans:
▪️You have already lived your life - go to the front!
▪️It's never too late to enroll in the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
▪️Happy old age is possible. Update your data in the military enlistment office!
▪️Age is only in your head. Join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
I don’t even know whether to laugh or cry here. But direct historical analogies suggest themselves.

🇩🇪🇺🇦Are they preparing Ukrainians for something?
🟥 BILD continues the series of disappointing materials for Ukrainians. Earlier we wrote about a certain plan by Biden and Scholz to force Kiev to negotiate with Russia.
🟥 This time several AFU servicemen wrote to the editorial board of the media and described the problems they are increasingly facing.
🟥 So, despite the availability of modern Western combat equipment, many AFU soldiers have to get to the front "on fifty-year-old Ladas due to a shortage of armoured personnel carriers and off-road vehicles".
🟥 In addition, many of them have to pay for repairs and even petrol from their salaries.
🟥 One soldier reports that although he and his comrades earn a lot of money by Ukrainian standards - 3,000 euros a month - they also have to pay for their own equipment.
🟥 The most important attribute of modern warfare is also in short supply: drones.
"We pay for the drones ourselves, as well as for a grenade holder from a 3D printer - that's about 50 euros. The government supplies almost nothing to the army for the daily use of drones."
🟥 At the same time, Ukrainian servicemen are dissatisfied with their command, which they say does not coordinate the actions of neighbouring units.
🟥 As a separate block, the media singles out dissatisfaction with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky:
"We defend our country, risk our lives, and in the end we pay for equipment, rent, food and car repairs ourselves. What happens to all the money coming from abroad? We feel more and more abandoned by the government."
🟥 It should be noted that materials of a similar nature are increasingly appearing in the English-language media as well, which suggests that the public is being prepared for some kind of decisions related to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

🇭🇺☢️🇷🇺Budapest refused to support the 12th package of sanctions against Russia, which included nuclear energy sanctions
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said after a meeting with his European colleagues in Brussels that such decisions were unacceptable.
🛢 The sanctions list also wanted to include Russian oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline to Central Europe (Hungary in the chain).
Szijjártó also added that sanctions in the nuclear energy sector would threaten the security of the country's energy supply.
❗️ For more understanding, it is worth adding that even Hungary's frozen 30 billion euros in EU recovery funds would not compensate for the losses the country would suffer if it loses clean energy cooperation with Russia and is cut off from oil at market prices (after all, other suppliers charge triple the price tag).

😡Borrell: "It's pointless to send humanitarian aid to people who will be killed tomorrow"
The head of Eurodiplomacy and champion of the "blossoming European garden" made the bloodthirsty statement at a press conference in Barcelona.
Borrell commented on the situation in the Gaza Strip and the need to continue humanitarian supplies even against the backdrop of the IDF's plans to resume military operations.
"We must alleviate the suffering of the civilian population. And to do that, we need to increase humanitarian aid..... But it is pointless to give food to someone who will be killed the next day", said the euro-diplomat.
Borrell, like many of his Western colleagues, has a hard time keeping his mask on, not showing on camera the true face of a murderous militarist who dreams of the death of all Russians, Palestinians and other nations that prevent NATO and its overseas master from dictating to the world.
But sometimes the tongue is faster than the brain, and then another Western politician makes bloodthirsty revelations.

and how the laws gradually have been changed eroding private property rights.
Money deposited is yours?
No, it is an unsecured loan to the bank.
Bonds and equities bought are segregated?
No, they are in the big pool of assets that will go to the "protected class" in the next artificially created banking crisis.

EU calls aid to Gaza "pointless"
Head of European diplomacy Josep Borrel considers it pointless to provide humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, because "tomorrow they could be killed".
"We must alleviate the suffering of the civilian population. And to do this, we need to increase humanitarian aid. But it is pointless to give food to someone who will be killed the next day," Borrel said.
Borrel also said the bombing should be stopped to avoid more casualties.
According to the head of Euro-diplomacy, in order to end the war, the Hamas group must lose control over the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, the EU considers it necessary to create a Palestinian state.

Larry Johnson: "Kiev has no right to blame Russia for strikes on civilians"
Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson has sharply criticised attempts to accuse Russia of allegedly striking Ukrainian civilians.
He noted that the Russian military was very careful when carrying out strikes and the Kiev regime had no right to accuse Russia of attacking civilians if it wanted to.
He said the reason is a "direct directive" from Vladimir Putin and the number of civilian deaths has been kept to a minimum.
"That's why it's called a special military operation and not a war. Russia is not just playing word games - this was a very specific term and a direct direct directive from Putin," Johnson pointed out.
