"Ukraine to prepare law banning churches 'affiliated' with Russia
The Ukrainian government will draw up a law banning churches affiliated with Russia under moves described by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy as necessary to prevent Moscow being able to "weaken Ukraine from within."
In a move condemned in Moscow, Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council told the government to draft the law following a series of raids on parishes that Kyiv says could be taking orders from Moscow as Russia wages war on Ukraine."

Two Russian nuclear bombers were reportedly damaged on Monday as media reported explosions air bases in Russia.
The Tu-95 planes - known as Bears - are the only propeller-powered strategic bombers still operational today.
Details were scarce but two servicemen were reported wounded and hospitalised.
Videos showed a huge flash at the high-security airbase in Saratov region used by Vladimir Putin's strategic fleet.

The early morning blast was reported at the Engels-1 airbase in the Saratov region of Russia. It is around 460 miles from the border with Ukraine."

"In Ukraine, a new approach to modern conflict is emerging
A new approach to modern conflict is emerging along with a new way for how the transatlantic community better positions itself to leverage its technology advantage to overcome shared challenges.
Even before the Russian invasion, technology companies had worked closely with the Ukrainian government to maintain and secure the country’s digital infrastructure. After Russia invaded, Ukrainians used smartphones and a variety of apps to share with the world — daily — the story of what was happening on the ground. They used secure communications to open supply lines and coordinate resistance to Russian efforts. Ukrainian volunteers even developed a smartphone app that allows citizens to report on the location of Russian attacks, tanks, missiles, and drones.
For Ukraine, broad access to these off-the-shelf technologies has proven crucial, allowing Ukrainians to knock the Russians off balance and fight the larger aggressor in a conflict that Putin thought would last days.
Armed with smartphones and internet access, Ukrainian civilians and NGOs have documented and shared Russian war crimes and troop positions, sometimes in real time."

Russian Assault Units Have Entered BAKHMUT!
The Siege of Bakhmut takes a dramatic turn as Ukrainian defenders get pushed back to the city's outskirts. Perhaps Ukraine is trading men for time, while it builds a second line of defence further West of Bakhmut.

Best denoscription I have found of defence in depth (Verteidigung in der Tiefe), especially its early form. The battles around Mouquet Farm were considered the best fighting of the Germans in World War I.
