Iconostasis of the Saint Demetrius Church in Nowy Sącz, Poland.
Despite the fact that the iconostasis was made in the early 19th century, it is quite archaic and traces back to the first examples of Baroque-Mannerist iconostases, although it also has some features of the more up-to-date Rococo.

Gothic-Byzantine catholicon of the Agios Neophytos Monastery, Cyprus.
From the Gothic the church borrows mainly the lancet arch, but it is difficult to say if the modest decor of the facades is caused by the influence of the Renaissance or by the decision of the builders. In addition, the catholicon is a hall church - its aisles are only slightly lower than the central nave. The Gothic influence is also noticeable in the iconostasis, but it was probably made a little later than the church itself.

Dudino monastery, Russia.
The 16th-century bell tower is the most interesting structure of this otherwise ordinary monastery. In addition to its respectable age, it is one of only a few tent bell towers of quadrangular form in existence. During the Soviet era, the tower was almost completely lost, but fortunately the surviving Imperial drawings made it possible to restore it.
Vinica terracotta "icons", North Macedonia.
An interesting example of Byzantine art found in the fortress of Vinica. The slabs, of course, were not true icons, but rather a decoration, because Christian content in the form of quotations from the Bible on some of them coexist with scenes of ancient mythology.

The building of Giresun High School in Turkey catches the eye with its European architecture. How did it come to be here? The school was built by and for the Greeks who inhabited the town before the genocide.

Partially restored Dormition Church in Myshkin, Russia. The builders of the church were limited in funds, so only frescoes were used to decorate the interior, which was the reason for their high quality.

Saint Athanasius Church, Karavasta, Albania. This basilical church was built in the second half of the 18th century and is particularly interesting for its painted ceiling.

Saint Dimitry Prilutsky Church, Vologda, Russia.
The church in the Uzorochye style has a rather unusual entrance, which seems to be the result of the absorption of the original porch by the narthex. Inside, the church is decorated with Baroque frescoes and a Rococo iconostasis, but these have suffered greatly in the 20th century.

Byzantine capital from the Coptic Museum in Cairo. Although it corresponds to the typical ones in shape, it still features a lotus in the centre, and astragal is decorated in the local manner as well.
