Because the japanese army only ate white rice in the 1800+ , they lacked those nutrients which made the 1/3 of the army sick and many deaths.
While the poor japs ate only the brown rice, they didn't have this problem because it was better, white rice was considered a rich thing rich but rich people they had other food to eat, so they didn't suffer it at all
A good reminder on how nutrition is so important. (take note that white rice can be stored for longer)

HOMEMADE MOISTURIZING LOTION
Two parts olive oil
One part coconut oil
One part beeswax
This stuff really works great! Its oil based so a little goes a very long way. Almond oil or sunflower oil works better than olive oil due to higher levels of vitamin E, but I sort of made this on a whim. To scent the olive oil, I zested 2 lemons and then minced the zest up and barely covered it with olive oil, then covered it and let it sit for 3 days. That yielded about 1/8 cup of scented oil. This stuff smells fucking amazing
