DoH disabled by default in Firefox on OpenBSD: «While encrypting DNS might be a good thing, sending all DNS traffic to Cloudflare by default is not a good idea. Applications should respect OS-configured settings.»

Is Pine64 scam?

Pine have announced a new smartwatch and I have the same exact watch from aliexpress that they are showing in their image. I have posted this to their announcement over on their subreddit but they have hidden my post which seems very suspicious.

Are their other products made buy them?

Plex MPV Shim is a small python application that lets you cast Plex to MPV on the desktop (see comments)

https://github.com/iwalton3/plex-mpv-shim

I didn't know were to post this. I suspect Linux desktop users are a minority on /r/Plex, but yet MPV is mostly used by Linux users as far as I'm aware, so there's really not an ideal place to share this.

This isn't my work, I found it on the Plex forums ([link](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-mpv-shim-cast-to-mpv-on-linux/447471)) and thought more people should know about it. It hardly got any attention but it's pretty cool.

There could also be some utility here as a casting target for raspberry pis and whatnot as well

Hope this is OK to post here. Just thought some might find it handy

Nvidia with open source driver

Rommers around the internet has told me that nvidia is slowly getting ready publis documentation for their graphics cards and make open source drivers. Mainly because of the competition from AMD.
Is there any merit to those rommers ?

Manjaro 18.1 and GPU usage (too high)

Hi!

I was just testing live media Manjaro 18.1 and was very pleased with xfce 4.14 and the FINALLY Vsync solution out of the box they implemented. I tested with nvidia drivers using a gtx 1080.

The problem was when I tested youtube and get it to fullscreen at my tv as second monitor. The GPU usage skyrocket achieving 48%!!! Even the coolers started just to play a FHD video at 4k screen.

Then I started the live media with KDE and get the same situation.

Any ideas what's causing this? That's not normal.

Edit: Noticed that my 18.0 install with KDE also shows this behavior... That's definitelly not normal... anyone knows how to fix?
