FS for data exchange between Linux and Windows?

I have Windows and Linux installed on my computer and want to make partition available in both OS. I've tried using NTFS in that role previously and met some problems with software run in Wine working with files saved at NTFS partition. exFAT was the second try that works well (but I didn't tried the scenario that caused problems described above). What community can say about the filesystem choice for an exchange partition located on SSD?

What are cool little Linux features you recently discovered?

Just recently started getting into it (so this will also contribute to my learning) but I’ll start anyways:

The terminal allows you to search previous commands (instead of pressing up-arrow):

history | grep <command>

Just saw this on r/ProgrammerHumor, to give credit where credit is due.

[WINE] Disney+ streaming service works on Linux with Chrome + Wine

To my surprise, I've discovered that the new Disney+ streaming service works on Linux, if you run the Windows Chrome web browser inside of Wine.

I used Lutris + Wine "lutris-nofshack" 4.19. Esync, DXVK, and D9VK are all disabled. Sound and full-screen are all working.

What would it take to get Linux on par with Mac OS for portability & battery Life?

That is to say without extra B.S like power top and TLP. What will this require?

Even just an essential pointer to the kind of work required to get us to such a level?

Any idea as to the cost perhaps?

I tried several distro and so far the best was Solus Linux and Fedora for mobile battery life. But, neither of this compare to Mac OS to this day. Even on a MacBook I get about 4 hours in difference of battery life. Which for someone who is always out and about this is pretty significant.

I just don't understand why we need hundreds of distro options and no legitimate priority on this power management issue.

Pros and Cons: Linux as a VM in OSX

I have a new macbook pro and am unable to install linux natively due to the T2 chip (boo apple). I am considering running Arch inside a VM and using it pretty much exclusively. Is this a reasonable strategy?

FSF-recommended Distro?

Why are so few people using 100% free-software Distros like the 10 or so that are recommended by the FSF [here](https://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.html)?

What is the point of using Linux if you are gonna use a proprietary blob containing mess like the U\_b\_u\_n\_t\_u or others?

If you are going to install proprietary crap, why not start out with a clean and free Distro and then install proprietary abusive software where needed?

If you want to eat a sandwich why not start out with fresh, clean slices of bread and then if you decide you cant live without shit then you can still apply the shit to your own liking later? but why start out with a shit-sandwhich to begin with?

Isn't Freedom the main motivation to use Linux? (including the freedoms to use your computers any way you darn please?) Then why go with something that has proprietary blobs/software built in?

KDE can invert colors for windows and the desktop

Like many basement dwellers, I like a dark, dark environment. (Actually I just like to match the brightness of my desktop to the brightness of my environment to reduce eye strain.)

When a bright-scheme application or website clashes with my wet, shadowy basement, I like to invert the colors in my desktop environment so I can banish the light back to the overworld where it belongs. I _could_ invert the whole desktop with the CLI command `xcalib -invert -alter`, but what if I only want to invert a single Window?

It turns out that KDE supports this out-of-the-box! Just go to System Settings > Desktop Behavior > Desktop Effects, check the "Invert" effect, and hit "Apply." From now on, I can invert the whole desktop with meta+control+I, and the current window with meta+control+U.

Please excuse me while I slither back into my dark place...
