Mobile Linux OS questions

Which mobile Linux OS are you most excited about for PinePhone and why? The top contenders seem to be Ubuntu Touch and Plasma Mobile. I’ve also noticed Manjaro is starting a mobile OS too.

Can someone help me understand Plasma Mobile running on top of PostmarketOS? What does that mean?

How is Linux on PinePhone different from an Android fork like LineageOS on an Android? I understand that to make that work, the drivers have to be in a container and kind of fooled into thinking they’re running on Android. Can someone explain that?

Do you think I’ll ever like Linux on PinePhone enough that I won’t miss my iPhone? I use Linux on laptop and love it. Really love it. Would love to have Linux on a phone. I’m a control freak.

Cooledit 4.0.0 programmer's editor released with Unicode 6 support and NoToSans font support

I would like to announce that I've updated Cooledit:

In this release I have integrated Freetype2 support natively. All Google's NoToSans fonts are included (virtually the entire Unicode standard) and support for the full Unicode range of code-points up to 0x10FFFF.

X Input methods are supported and tested on Ubuntu.

Udemy bash noscripting course?

I was thinking about buying the course because it's only 12 euros. How useful is bash noscripting in the Linux environment? Should I learn python instead?

New computer

I've bought a new pc.
Can I just install the disk I had, with OS, on my previous pc into the new one?
Will it recognise the new hardware?

Is it possible to use a machine created on VMware in windows subsytem for Linux?

long story short, im studying networks and we use VMware, to make my life easier, I always ssh into the VM using WSL or CMD, but I figured it could be great if I could just import the machine completely into WSL, can anyone tell me if thats possible? I'd also need to be able to get the updated machine back to VMware later ofcourse. thanks in advance!
