Push Notifications for SSH Logins
Hi,
For anyone that is interested I decided to create a quick noscript to get a push notification whenever a successful login to my SSH server occurs. I thought I would share it with anyone that is interested, at the moment it is very basic and requires a bit of manual installation but it does what I need.
If you have any questions or concerns let me know.

People should realize that comparing a FREE software to a proprietary one , doesn't mean they should be on the same quality level , it's not even logical !
Comparing a free software you didn't pay for with a premium one that's predicted to deliver a quality service and making negative reviews of the former because it's not on the same grounds with the latter doesn't make any sense imo.
If you didn't pay a single buck for it , why did you expect it to be packed with the same features like the proprietary ?!
I mean people who bash FOSS to be lacking quality (*Not bad quality because they tried it for free*) should calm their rant down and just dual-boot to their second-favourite proprietary platform and pay the monthly subnoscription for their favourite software there ....... Problem solved.
Being nit-picky about quality/features is not really beneficial considering that FOSS can offer most features (*If not all*) of the proprietary one and for FREE , then people just complain about it for different (*And sometimes stupid*) reasons like: "*It's GUI is not familiar , THAT'S TERRIBLE*" or "*It's confusing to use !*" ........
It's just these people either were having over-the-top ambitions or didn't even pay for the proprietary software at all .... That's why they jump for the verdict directly without looking at the biggest premise , the price tag !
If devs. giving their effort for free to you with acceptable quality is not fulfilling ...... then the real problem wasn't the lack of features from the beginning.

Xtra PC - Got a YouTube ad for this product today
[https://www.xtra-pc.com/how-it-works-1](https://www.xtra-pc.com/how-it-works-1)
(if someone wants just the vid on the page)
So, the product is a USB with some custom distro installed on it, looks vaguely LXDE-ish. The selling points they claim are that: It works on almost any PC from 2004 and newer. It doesn't need a functional hard drive. It's faster than a bloated Windows XP/Vista/7 install.
It's a live USB, so yes, it will definitely will be able do that. I'v seen some live distros boot with surprising speeds even on USB 2.0. At the very least, it's gonna be more effective than using one of those "fix your PC" USBs people waste money on. I find it particularly curious because I'v not heard of any company trying to market such a specific product before. I could definitely see people who might be tired of their old computer wanting a quick fix purchasing something like this. I don't think they'd be unhappy either, if all they do is edit documents, play media and browse the web. They might not understand they can't use Windows programs without a bit of initial setup, as it's not mentioned in the ad. I'm actually not sure how I feel about this product, granted I don't have one to test.
As far as the price of the product goes, it's a little high if you think of it as just a USB stick (16G: $35, 32G: $60, 64G: $80). However, some people might not be able to make their own live USB and want something they can buy and just plug in. There's cheaper alternatives, but I guess a choice is a choice, and if it works and the user is happy, that's cool I guess. As far as I know charging a distribution fee for the medium it's on, even a decently high one like they are, is permissible under the GPL. Correct me if I'm wrong.
It could spread awareness of Linux to more people, given that I saw an ad for it on YouTube, I'm sure at least a few other people checked out the website like I did. This product has only been mentioned on here once in the past 2 years ago, and the thread is archived. I was messaging someone about this as I wrote the post, and they mentioned LinusTechTips did a video on it. I haven't watched it yet but link is here:

Hi there, we have an old ubuntu machine at work that we need something off, but obviously, 8 years on and we dont'know the password. We are trying to get into the bootloader so we can reset the password from recovery mode, but it is being bypassed perhaps with a noscript.
