Why I consider switching back to Windows.
I have been using Linux for half a year now and it's wonderful and I really want to keep using it but there is something I struggle with for the last six months.
My switch to Linux wasn't spontaneous. I tried to find a replacement for every pice of software I used on Windows and when I though I found, I switched.
Despite that after all this time I think Linux lacks good creative software. I mostly do photo editing, digital art and video production. Now krita, gimp and darktable combined are a good enough replacement for Photoshop however the video editing software is just horrible, the only one that is working OK on my hardware is Kdenlive but it's not perfect and I miss very much adobe premiere.
There are many reasons why I want to keep using Linux though. I love the privacy and security, amazing and supportive community, lack of proprietary software and many more but since I'm not able to do my creative work as quickly and easily as I used to I'm seriously thinking about horrible windows 10. Please give me a reason to stay with Linux

Use KubeEdge to Collect the value of the Temperature Sensor connected to the RaspberryPi to Cloud
KubeEdge is an open source system extending native containerized application orchestration and device management to hosts at the Edge. It is built upon Kubernetes and provides core infrastructure support for networking, application deployment and metadata synchronization between cloud and edge. It also supports **MQTT** and allows developers to author custom logic and enable resource constrained device communication at the Edge.
Using the device management capabilities of KubeEdge, we can use the Raspberry Pi on the edge to transfer the value of the temperature sensor to the cloud.
A application called **Temperature Mapper** contains code to collect temperature from a temperature sensor which connected to a raspberry Pi through gpio. Depending on the expected state of the temperature sensor, the program collect the temperature.
The details for how to setup: [https://github.com/kubeedge/examples/tree/master/kubeedge-temperature-demo](https://github.com/kubeedge/examples/tree/master/kubeedge-temperature-demo)

What open source tools do you use for monitoring clusters
I am wondering what all open source products are available for server monitoring.
Most of the open source products moved to freemium model leaving a knowledgeable gap in the market
Not asking for a recommendation, checking on the diversity.
What tools do you use and why you use them. Which tool does this one overruled?

Good book about debugging with strace,lsof etc
Hi all,
I'm working with Linux system, the problem i find is there are very few books about debugging memory problem or CPU with Linux.
I would like something like a lot of examples explaining how strace and lsof works.
Most "linux bible" are always the same, explaining signals, process etc but without example it's dry.
I cannot really use these documentation on my production problems...

Give bash Windows-like clear behaviour
That's one of the things i greately dislike about linux.
The clear command seems to just scroll the terminal down, and the last text line is just one row above where the cursor ends up being after clear. As you scroll up clear lost all its utility.
Compare that to the cls on windows, that actually clears the current terminal window of all the history. Scrolling up you will stop at the first line after the cls command was called.
Is there any way to make linux do that too? Maybe aliasing cls instead of replacing clear

IWD rocks as wpa_supplicant alternative!
Just tested it several hours and found these improvements:
* less load time of big websites
* faster connect to AP
* interactive signal levels in cli mode
* WPS pin & push button support out the box
* list of hidden networks out the box
* works with/without NM
More info: https://iwd.wiki.kernel.org/
