Is it possible to run PCIe cards (such as HBAs or NICs) via USB 3?

Considering how much the USB spec has grown, I was curious if it was possible to use the 5 to 20 Gbit/s bandwidth USB 3 can provide to expand systems with disks or network ports by utilizing existing PCIe cards.

I know that there are already many consumer grade GPU enclosures using Thunderbolt 3 which can be used to game on a laptop, however I have never seen a discussion on utilizing a similar technology for network or disk interfaces.

Perhaps Thunderbolt 3 is required and USB won't support this until version 4, and Thunderbolt isn't very widespread in desktop/server devices, and that's why this hasn't come up?

Discussion - Best Linux Laptop in April 2020? Why?

Just wanted to see a discussion regarding opinions of the best current Linux laptop. I'm on a 13" Lenovo Yoga 720 from a few years ago. Everything works except the fingerprint reader. Makes a nice little dev laptop.

Is anyone using the newly supported graphics tablets in 5.1+?

I have been shopping for graphics tablets, and have been waiting/hoping the H320M would gain support however it seems too new.

I started reading into an alternative tablet, knowing Wacom works near perfect but is very expensive.

Today I read that some new graphics tablets were [mainlined](https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/hid/hid.git/log/?h=for-next&qt=grep&q=uclogic) in kernel 5.1.

Specifically I am considering the [Deco 01](https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/hid/hid.git/commit/?h=for-next&id=08367be171b0b7d6ff030a351a58d34f77803685). I heard that XP-Pen officially develops a Linux driver but seeing it was included in mainline is even more encouraging.

After some searching I found [this post (archived)](https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/aobcuc/help_with_xppen_deco01_in_ubuntu_linux/efzzk3q?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x) describing an issue that the XP-Pen distributed driver lacks configuration to scale the aspect ration for 16:9 computers.

I am curious if anyone with these newly supported tablets can share their experiences and if they improved at all since they are now officially supported by the kernel.
