looking for new Linux computer
I am looking for and having trouble finding a computer that is of comparable size to the Intel NUC but would like to use an AMD APU. I see new ones coming along such as 65W Ryzen 7 5700G.
Any suggestion on where to look?
I doubt it matters but will likely be using Manjaro KDE or GNOME.

Linux from scratch.
So recently I acquired a job, and I want to fill my out of work hours with a computer hobby somewhat.
I was think maybe as I read and dip my feet into the Linux world like virtual machines and what not, I want to head towards creating it from scratch.
I have various programming software skills so I’m not a stranger to learning languages and using command.
What I want to know is should I use my sea gate to backup my laptop and work towards this big project on my own laptop or should I invest into a new PC/ laptop to begin building it?
Let me know and anything else I should be thinking about.
My personal laptop specs; Dell Inspiron 5770
I7 1.8 GHz
16 fb ram
64 bit
Atm windows 10
Couple keys don’t seem to work
Have had it couple years.
For the build I was thinking of following the LFS book 10.1
What y’all think? Personal experiences, tips, advice, explanation how raspberry Pi might help, back up ideas (want to not lose al my personal stuff) literally anything that can help would be awesome
This idea just came to me in the last 6 hours and the more I read into it the more I want to work towards it.

Ubuntu 20.04: Switching from GUI to CLI, get a ghost cursor in the GUI
So when switching from CLI windows (idk if that's the proper name, I mean when you ctrl alt f5, etc) and going back to the GUI i get a cursor in the bottom right half of my screen on top of all the windows along with my normal, functional cursor.
Cant seem to find a fix for this? Any ideas (goes away when you restart the display-driver service, but that closes all gui programs, so not really a fix)

Linux Deep dive
I'm looking for a learning resource to accelerate my understanding of the inner workings of linux based operating systems. I was previously reccomended trying linux from scratch, but that was a little more involved than i have time for atm. What i would like is something that is audio like a podcast or audiobook that way i can be learning on my long commute ( which can be between 4 and 7 hours each worday)
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Native Linux Twitch Application Release
Afternoon all. I released a Linux Twitch application which mirrors the web interface. It's an Electron app which means "bloat". It comes in over 100MB because, well,, Electron. It should have all of the features that the web version does so it should be very familiar. This should technically work on Windows and Mac as well, however more testing is needed. Please let me know if there are any issues and open issues on Git, if you can.
Let me know your thoughts!
Just download, untar, delete tar (don't need a large file taking up space), set as executable, and run it:
* wget [https://github.com/NOVATechnocrat/TwitchElectron/releases/download/2.0/Twitch-linux-x64.tar.xz](https://github.com/NOVATechnocrat/TwitchElectron/releases/download/2.0/Twitch-linux-x64.tar.xz)
* tar xvf Twitch-linux-x64.tar.xz
* rm Twitch-linux-x64.tar.xz
* chmod +x ./Twitch-linux-x64/Twitch
* ./Twitch-linux-x64/Twitch
All in one:
wget https://github.com/NOVATechnocrat/TwitchElectron/releases/download/2.0/Twitch-linux-x64.tar.xz && tar xvf Twitch-linux-x64.tar.xz && rm Twitch-linux-x64.tar.xz && chmod +x ./Twitch-linux-x64/Twitch && ./Twitch-linux-x64/Twitch

How to view session from another terminal
Hi All,
I have a question regarding multiple logins from a same user. For my example I have a console opened up with a user on my Ubuntu minecraft server where I launch the server. The way this works is that while the server runs it shows outputs and details ( errors, who connected etc).
If I SSH with the same user I get a separate session to the server. Is there a way from my SSH session to see the same view I had on the console. In my case I just want to SSH and see the status messages of the minecraft server etc.
I included a picture to show what I mean. On the left is my console connection which has the server status messages. On the right is my SSH session which shows a clean new terminal view. My example is with minecraft but it extends to any type of program that my work this way ( outputting status to the screen)

Will minux ever make a comeback?
As far as I can tell, the minux approach of running less code in the kernel (with elevated privileges) seems like a better design decision.
Will minux (or similar) ever take off?
Or is there just too much effort already vested in linux to bother?
Or am I just missing something?

In my previous installment, I decided to go for an Arch derivative, and the pseudo-scientific rating gave ArcoLinux as the winner. But is there any “purer” Arch, something with as few as possible additions and customizations, so I could only add what I want…
