Theming my Salient OS
In my previous post I was looking for more “purity” in Arch, and somehow my judgment led me to prefer Salient OS. But I won't be using it as themed by its creator: I have “impurified” it! I suppose you don't necessarily like the theming currently preferred…
What is best Linux Backup Server ?
Hello ,

I have three machines with three different IP addresses they have MYSQL data and I want to make a backup server for all three machines I mean backup the data on those three machines in one machine to be my backup server and of course I will give this server an IP address that I can reach using those three machines.

Honestly I don't know where to begin ? and which one to use ? I'm using Debian
1- bacula-server
2- borgbackup
3 - deja-dup
4 - rsync
I have to choose one of those and my question would it be easy to restore the data on a new machine ?
Best Regards

Linux timeline website
Hi guys,
I am trying to find something. Couple of years back (maybe around 15... ufff), there was a site that have published the Linux timeline - distorts, main events, etc. In a file, that you print, then hang on your admin room wall and take a photo with it. Then they publish it and that’s it.
They published our photo - 3 young admins, proud that they can install (and then use) Slack, Gentoo & OpenBSD... one of the three is no longer on this earth and I want to find this photo and show it to his kids - in his most natural environment ...
So anyone remember this. It was a long print of A4s that you put together snake-like.
Thank you all!

Since today, linux is the first OS to fly on a different planet.
I just learned that Ingenuity, the Mars helicopter, runs linux, making that the first OS to fly on another planet.
That's one for the history books alright. Makes one feel proud to use it. Also, it shows the sheer versatility and reliability of the OS.
Mr Torvalds, you created something very special.
