Distinguish Linux kernel from android

Hello, sorry to ask here but I need more people.

I want to make (100%) sure if it is Linux kernel or android, of an embeded device (If you think that android is linux, please dont join this post).

The kernel version seems to be 3.18.20, boot loader is little kernel , the device is a 4g modem(quectel ec21). The boot partition (MTD8) is unmounted, but I have the file from an update (used android too to extract) and the kernel size is 5M.

I have access to the console.

I analyzed the kernel symbols.

If I did it correctly I can say that of the android only code (from [here](https://elinux.org/Android_Kernel_Features)) :

THERE IS NOT: binder, ashmem, pmem, logger, lowmem, paranoid network, ram console.

THERE IS: wakelocks, timed outputs/gpio, usb gadget(adb).

ulauncher-mpd does now actually cache folder album arts

I had a logical error in the way I cached album arts for folders, playlists and artists that caused the program to only cache them temporary and not on long-term (thus over restarts)

It should now be fixed, I didn't test the fix in python 2 though.

PSA: If you have linux on a different disk and want to install windows on another, unplug your linux disk, or windows will trash your ESP partition

For those interested, I totally forgot about this.

My PC consists of 2 ssd disks and a storage HDD disk.

I have windows installed on one and linux on the other ssd.

I know I can setup a multi boot system using only one ESP pertition, but I wanted independence between one OS and the other.

Before I go further, for those that don't know, the ESP partition is your /boot partition for UEFI setups (I know it's more than that, but I want to keep this simple)

It's pretty straightforward: You mount it, run grub and it will let you boot in UEFI mode - just like you've always done with BIOS.

Microsoft windows creates its own ESP partition unless it does see another ESP partition on any other disk, then, it will procceed to (try to) use that partition as windows ESP partiton in order to boot in UEFI mode. Only it won't use it properly, will trash it, windows will boot in BIOS mode in the end and you won't be able to boot your linux system :) (Thanks microsoft!)

So, in order to keep the harmony, I ended up unplugging the LINUX disk altogether when I had to reinstall windows last week (mobo and cpu upgrade). Forgot about this little fact and had to chroot into my encrypted linux system and recover the esp partition (was quite easy, tho)

I'll leave this here in case anyone runs into the same issue anytime.

If IKEA developed a distro?

Was checking out EndevourOS and realized the head of development is named Johannes Kamprad which begs the obvious question: what would an official IKEA distro look and function like? What would be the niche?
