Is there a way of setting an .xml file as a wallpaper?
I wanted to set an .xml file as a wallpaper to make them change during the day (as it is on MacOS Mojave), but instead it shows black screen. I've tried to find 3rd party apps, but I haven't found any

Help with finding a distro for a 16 year old pc
Hi all, a few months back i found a pc sitting on the curb abandoned and picked it up, it currently is running the 2002 service pack 3 branch of win xp home edition.
I was wondering if i could get help finding a linux distro that might be good to kinda revitalize it, the hardware specs are:
Intel (R)
Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.80 ghz and 2.79 ghz
512 mb of ram
Its a dell dimension from the year 2003, im not quite sure which model
If there aren't enough details ill do my best to research more to try and clarify
Thanks for the help in advance

Programming projects that highlight the strength of linux
I have been using linux for a few years mainly for school. I am familiar with the majority of the basics. I have experience in a variety of languages and I am looking to start a small - medium size project. I want this project to highlight the strength of programming in linux. At school we use linux in all our programming classes, but at my job I work exclusively in windows. Furthermore, all the projects we do at school can just as easily be done in windows and I don't really see the benefit in programming in linux over windows (apart from bash). If anyone could suggest some projects and some material to read over to start them, that would be great. Also, whats "kinds" of projects are best done in linux (I.E. Game Development is more geared towards windows instead of linux).
If this is the wrong subreddit to post this in, please link another subreddit that would be better suited for this post.
Thanks!

An useful youtube channel for new linux explorers
Hello friends. I am new to the linux world and I found this guy right here:
https://www.youtube.com/user/XRatchet777xKyogreX4
I think he may help you because he certainly showed me the right path when I installed DeepIn 15.11.
Also, I found that he posted some great alternatives for photoshop. Hearing that there is no photoshop on Linux got me scared but now I am pretty sure I do not need it anymore.
The reason why I am sharing his channel with you is that I really want to see him grow and motivate him to do more helpful videos. He is not a friend of mine nor do I know him in real life.

What are peoples favourite bash/favourite shell aliases?
I have `nuke` set to `killall -9` and `fuck` set to rerun last command with sudo. What do other people have that they think is useful/entertaining?
