Alone in the Wilderness

Richard Louis Proenneke May 4, 1916 – April 20, 2003) was an American self-educated naturalist, conservationist, writer, and wildlife photographer lived alone for nearly thirty years (1969–1999) in the mountains of Alaska in a log cabin that he constructed by hand when he was 53 years old
near the shore of Twin Lakes. Proenneke hunted, fished, raised and gathered his own food, and also had supplies flown in occasionally. He documented his activities in journals and on film, This film is a documentary profile of conservationist and wildlife photographer, Dick Proenneke, at his home in the Lake Clark area of Alaska.

A 2500 year old olive tree perished in the wildfires on the Greek Island of Evia this week. The tree, which was fertile and still producing olives, was so large that 10 people could fit along the diameter of its trunk.

Greek geographer and historian Strabo wrote of this tree nearly two thousand years ago. It endured the passing of countless ages, but perished in August 2021.

Very symbolic of our rotten and dying era.

Most famous people in the public eye buy islands in the Caribbean or Indonesia. The real people in power like a colder Climate in Antarctica, hmmm hiding much?.. Also notice the names are the same as the variants. Someone's pulling the strings. What do you think? 🧐
