People who buy the off brand non-flagship phones, what is your experience with them?

I see a lot of people around the internet questioning why you'd buy a Pixel/iPhone/Galaxy/OnePlus when you could get a Xiaomi/Motorola/Honor/Nokia phone. In my experience those cheap devices are usually miserable to use relatively soon after buying them (Motorola/Nokia). I'd sooner buy a flagship that's a year or two old them get one of them, or the cheaper version of the flagship over these off brands. My experience there has been much better. But I'm curious if I'm the outlier in this....

My story about Samsung DeX

So I’ve had S9 for over a year now, and I never really thought about using Samsung DeX, I always used my laptop to do things like create/edit documents (is the most important one for me,browse web), watch videos play some retro games & that’s about it.

Reason why I didn’t use DeX at all was because of the “reviewers” saying “it’s not worth using it at all” & it’s not as Polished as you know using your Laptop or PC. So I never really used it.
