Found an app to bring back notification ticker

Hi there,

in the old days of Android there was the notification ticker in the status bar for new incoming notifications. With the introduction of heads up notifications the notification ticker was gone.

Yesterday I found a new app by the developer of Bottom Quicksettings. It is called "[Super Status Bar](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tombayley.statusbar)" and one of its features is the return of the notification ticker in the status bar. Thought I share it here since I hav...

Compilation of Issues Caused by OTA Updates and Ignored by Google

Hello Android Community,

I wanted to summarize my research into what is truly a CUSTOMER SERVICE issue which has plagued countless Pixel users at different times over the last 1+ years. How can we get Google to acknowledge that they screwed up, and repair the devices they broke without us paying for it?? As of now, the burden of their mistakes is being passed to the end users.

The other day after the March 5,2020 update to Android 10, several of my apps crash, especially those with any tie to...

What happened to "input zoom"(sic)?

I woke up this morning remembering enhanced input/typing functionality that arrived with a new android release a few years back. It made common input functions easier to see, use, and manipulate. That's pretty much all I remember, other than it worked well and I haven't used it in quite a long time. It would very useful now that I've arrived on the shores of my dotage....

How many smartphones do you own right now and which ones? Which phone is your primary device and why?

I jump from phone to phone, always caught up in having the latest and greatest. I take advantage of refund policies and rarely keep a phone for longer than 6 months.

I currently own an iPhone 11 Pro Max, a Samsung Galaxy S20, and an Xperia 5.

My SIM card is currently in my Xperia 5 as I just discovered how amazing Sony smartphones are. The hardware is very nice and it is paired with a near stock experience with some GOOD Sony additions. This year I've used the likes of Google, OnePlus, Apple...

[QUESTION] Does Google make money out of other companies that uses their own edited Android OS'es? And why do they keep google apps intact?

Hello there, As far as I know AOSP is open source and can be used by anyone. So the other phone manufacturers use that to make their own androids which afaik should be free due to gnu license did I got this part correct?

So if that's true google makes literally nothing out of the companies using android unless they use other front end applications (like play store, chrome and other google made applications). So why do they use those? I mean play store is fair enough of an answer but do they ju...

Idea: Popular apps using their platforms.

Popular apps such as Reddit should include a "Wash your hands" text on their loading/opening screen after we opened the app.

An example of this is Youtube, after opening the app, it shows the logo and the text "Wash your hands" text before loading....
