There's a phone in industry hands that's getting people very excited

I've now spotted a few Twitter accounts with good reason to be in possession of a pre-release phone who have tweeted how incredible it is.

We have Mrwhosetheboss, the English tech reviewer with 8m YouTube subscribers tweeting:

> Holy moly - I've just started using a phone, that takes the best photos I've seen by a MILE. It's not the iPhone...

Then there's Ustav Techie, a tech reviewer from India with 600k subscribers tweeting

> The Phone I am using, It has literary the most amazing cam...

Does anyone still have a brown HTC G1? I have one but they seem to have disappeared off the internet.

FYI: The Apple TV App kind of works on Android Tablets

I was getting tired of using the website for Apple TV+ on my Tab S7 so I got the Apple TV Android TV APK and installed it which worked, but it didn't show up in the launcher, so I found an "Android TV Launcher" App, and I was able to launch it from there. After that I was able to navigate it with a wireless keyboard I have plugged in, signed in and played my show, I don't know if I'm getting 1080p/4k though....

AMA - just got the ZTE Axon 30 5G last night here in the U.S. and using it on T-Mobile.

Brief review. Coming from a OnePlus 7 Pro.

PROS

* So light and thin compared to the OnePlus 7 Pro, pretty easy to hold one handed (although it is admittedly hard to reach the top of the screen one handed)
* Very clean UI
* Beautiful screen
* Great performance
* In-display fingerprint reader is fast (despite one review saying it is not)
* Super fast charging, 0-100% in < an hour

CONS

* Selfie cam (obviously)
* Only one OS update
* Doesn't support Band 71 for 5G on T-mobile (supports the other...

Pixel 6 Date Speculation

I was watching some TV last night and caught the Pixel 6 commercial seen here: https://youtu.be/xMZaObIQps8

I noticed two specific moments in the commercial when the largest text on screen is 09:30, and 21.

Is there something happening on Thursday of next week?...

Chrome OS under Android

Hi people. This is kind of a suggestion / question. Don't know where to post it really, so I try here.

We all know about Samsung DeX, right? It works like this; You connect your Samsung Android phone to an external monitor and possibly a keyboard/mouse and get their Desktop eXperience. Hence DeX.

Would it be possible (with quite a lot of development of course) to implement the same functionality into the Android Core, but instead of starting up DeX, it starts Chrome OS when connecting to the e...

Just A Heads Up: the contents of Secure Folder are not backed up on the cloud

Maybe I'm dense for expecting them to be backed up to the clouds but I thought from the denoscription that Google gave me that things I stored in it would be backed up to the cloud just not visible in my Google photos....

TIL that the Curvature of the notification shade corners changes with the icon shapes selected in styles

The corner radius of the notification shade changes with the icon shape in styles. More squarer icon shapes have sharper corners and circular shapes have more circular edges

I'm waiting for the day a random person "nearby shares" me

Title says it all.

Now that nearby share has an "everyone" option, I'm going to be adventurous and leave it on. Airdropping is so popular it has become a verb. Now that android has an equivalent version, I'm waiting for this to happen.

Random thought, just wanted to share that....
