The margins in the new Android 12 Notifications are absurd

They've taken up so much space with pointless whitespace and over-designed margins that there is virtually no room left to display any actual content. From a screen width of 1080px, by the time the notif is actually showing me a preview of what was sent, there is only 387px left of space. That's 22 characters! smh

edit: Here's another one. 70% of the screen space taken up by the notification is whitespace. 70%!!!...

People always talk about what they miss about older android phones. But what are some features older generation Android phones had that you are happy are not industry practice anymore?

inb4 3.5mm jack or expandable storage


For me, it'd probably have to be resistive screens. Words cannot describe how painful it was to use anything that had a resistive touchscreen, even good hardware inside was for naught when you had a resistive touchscreen with the need to use a hard stylus for.
