The Pixel Launcher is starting to roll out a new "search engine" settings page

This page lets you change the search provider used for the search bar on the home screen.

One user tells me they received a notification from the Search Engine Selector app to choose their search engine. After changing the search provider, the search bar's icon is updated to reflect the user's choice of provider. The user can go to the Pixel Launcher's settings then tap "home screen search settings" and finally "search engine" to change the search provider afterwards.

Why LG and Sony failed to be able to compete with Samsung in the smartphone/android market, while this wasn't a problem in other markets (like cameras, TVs and audio)?

Those 3 companies are conglomerates with many divisions, but one common problem is how the smartphone division of both LG and Sony were bleeding money year after year, while Samsung managed to become the leader of the smartphone market....

After Recent Update, Google Removed All Options To Share Links That DONT Include .amp

(Update on 3/13 . Samsung phone.)
As you probably know, Google steals ad revenue from sites you share by hijacking the cached web pages and inserting their own ads. That why you sometimes see the .AMP Bot, suggesting that you don't use them. So I always just "copy the URL" from the "Share" drop down menu.

Today that option is gone, AND the "Copy" icon now includes the .amp. I had to copy text from the artice and search in on DuckDuckGo.

Thought you should know.

Small phones are not dead and we did not kill them. Unihertz and Qin still make quality small phones

Unihertz has the jelly star which is a cute little LED lights phone which is popular with a small section. They also have the amazing Titan series with keyboards.

Qin smartphones are also getting popular with /r/dumbphones community. These are great alternatives for those seeking small phones. Of course, you might not get all apps but who cares, you'll manage. I am cur...
