Update on privacy policy of Joey

It seems I didn't address properly the concern raised here

https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/cgbrnb/joey_for_reddit_can_now_share_your_reddit/eugpmsb/

I am not very good with communication, as many members on /r/JoeyForReddit have noted in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/JoeyForReddit/comments/cgeg1d/whats_with_the_privacy_policy/.

I have taken note about the advise presented there and I am clarifying things up.

With the never ending trend of moving buttons to the bottom of screens, what does everyone think of the notification/settings shade remaining at the top?

Google has recently been pushing for bottom screen buttons, slightly above the gesture bar. What is everyones thoughts on the settings being at the top of the screen when pulling down the notification shade? Which remain out of reach for many.

* Apple obviously has bottom screen settings, swipe up and the settings are located near the bottom of the screen for easy access.

* Is this something you want android to do? Maybe not the gesture to trigger the settings, but moving the settings lower fo...

Why do Android updates seem so important when most people choose a new phone?

I've always seen this mentionned: get the new phone, it will get 2 years of updates. Or, don't get a 2 year old phone, it won't get any more updates and will be obsolete. I don't understand the reasoning because a phone doesn't become obsolete once it stops receiving updates. Sure, it won't have the latest and greatest but I could still use my first android phone ever, the LG P500h, today even though it hasn't been updated in years. My girlfriend was still using her iphone 6 until recently.

Discussion about the new monster! The ASUS ROG phone 2 vs note10 and Oneplus 7 pro

what about the ASUS rog phone 2 that was announced today?!!!

I know I know, the note 10 hasn't been officially announced yet but i think it is safe to assume we know most if not all of the specs (or at least they are in the ballpark).

I asked iPhone users why they prefer it over Android . I was surprised by some of their answers .

Apart from the usual stuff like FaceTime and iMessage and longer software support , here are some answers that surprised me :

"I just like how the iPhone keyboard works . I tried others and could never get used to them . It just works the best for me . "

"Sure , Android is flexible and all but I don't like all the tinkering stuff. All I need is to press a button to open an app . Android is overwhelming . "

" Verizon would fix my phone's software after it kept crashing . And I couldn't unins...

Tell me your "adaptive brightness" success stories

I've learned to live with Pie's recents and OnePlus' gestures but damned if I have the patience for "adaptive brightness." I get what it's supposed to do and I dig it :) but either it's a very slow learner or I'm not training it correctly. So if you managed to get it to "work," especially under artificial lighting, please share.

I am passionate about being able to see the screen in sunlight. It's my impression that at a minimum, for so-called high brightness mode to engage, adaptive brightness ...
