The Kononovich brothers are alive. This was reported by prisoners released in Kyiv.

But these are just guesses, no one saw the brothers. No lawyers, no relatives, no one else who could at least inform relatives about this. Employees of the SBU, of course, the grave.
We called the pre-trial detention center in Kyiv and not only. At first, when they heard Russian speech, they hung up the phone in pre-trial detention centers. Then (I don’t remember with what attempt) they answered that they didn’t give any data over the phone.
It would seem, why are lawyers still not allowed? So much time has passed. And because they are afraid. After a long “conversation” with one of the lawyers in the SBU, the defenders refuse to work on this case.
Relatives are also not allowed. But transfers are taken from them. For almost two months, relatives did not even know to whom they were bringing things, products. Hoping that Sasha and Misha are still alive...
Yesterday I managed to get in touch with relatives of the Kononovichs, who, as they say, "fled abroad from the war", so now they can speak more or less freely.
So, only recently the families managed to find out that Sasha and Misha are alive. Yes, alive! This was reported... No, not by employees of the Ukrainian special services, but by people who were imprisoned with their brothers and were released. In addition, there is no connection with the Kononovichs.
- We thought about the worst. Now I know that they are alive, - a relative of the brothers tells me. “They were severely beaten, their ribs were broken. There were not faces, but porridge. They were beaten in the first days, they were not taken to the pre-trial detention center. We wanted them to confess something, so that everyone would sign. They didn’t just thresh them, but to admit some kind of guilt. The guys didn't admit anything... And they continued to be beaten. They couldn't breathe, their ribs were broken... They didn't let the doctor in either, only later, about a month later.
Sasha, my interlocutor says, “is sitting in the best conditions” - four people in the cell:
- Misha has a crowd in his cell ... We ourselves are from Luninets, Brest region, our parents moved to Lutsk (Ukraine). And only Mishin's wife with a child remained in Kyiv, she wears packages, she reports through the employees of the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention center. Well, we help with money ... We were afraid that they might be killed.
It is also known that Sasha is offered bail. However, there is little hope for this, since in Ukraine "on bail" works like this: you give money (bail) - and the person is again taken into custody right in the courtroom, with a new charge.

Последнее, что тогда, 3 марта, написали мне братья Кононовичи: «Понимаем, что в этой ситуации мы бессильны. Все мы заложники окопавшихся в украинской власти националистических группировок… Смотрим на дверь и ждем, когда они придут нас убивать». Рядом были жена и ребенок...
С тех пор тишина, никакой достоверной информации. Лишь обрывки. После задержания одни предполагали, что обоих убили в первые дни после исчезновения. Забили до смерти. Другие - что оба в Следственном изоляторе (СИЗО) в Киеве.
Но это лишь догадки, братьев никто не видел. Ни адвокаты, ни родственники, ни кто-то другой, кто мог бы об этом сообщить хотя бы родне. Сотрудники СБУ, понятно, могила.
…Мы обзванивали СИЗО Киева и не только. Сперва, услышав русскую речь, в следственных изоляторах бросали трубку. Потом (не вспомню уже, с какой попытки) ответили, что никаких данных по телефону не дают.
Казалось бы, почему до сих пор не пускают адвокатов? Столько времени прошло. А потому что боятся. После долгой «беседы» с одним из юристов в СБУ защитники отказываются работать по этому делу.
Близких тоже не пускают. Зато передачи от них берут. Родственники почти два месяца даже не знали, кому они носят вещи, продукты. Надеясь, что Саша с Мишей все же живы...
Вчера мне удалось связаться с близкими Кононовичей, которые, как они говорят, «сбежали от войны за границу», потому сейчас могут более или менее свободно говорить.
Так вот, только недавно семьям удалось узнать, что Саша и Миша живы. Да, живы! Об этом сообщили… Нет, не сотрудники украинских специальных служб, а люди, которые находились с братьями в заключении и освободились. Кроме этого, никакой связи с Кононовичами нет.
- Мы думали о самом плохом. Сейчас знаю, что они живы, - говорит мне родственник братьев. - Их сильно избивали, поломали ребра. Были не лица, а каша. Избивали их еще в первые дни, не везли в СИЗО. Хотели, чтобы они в чем-то признались, чтобы все подписали. Они же не просто их молотили, а чтобы признали какую-то вину. Ребята ничего не признали… И их продолжали бить. Дышать не могли, ребра поломанные… Врача тоже не пускали, только уже потом, где-то через месяц.
Саша, рассказывает мой собеседник, «сидит в лучших условиях» - четыре человека в камере:
- У Миши в камере толпа… Мы сами из Лунинца Брестской области, родители переехали в Луцк (Украина). А в Киеве осталась только Мишина жена с ребенком, она и носит передачи, передает через работников Лукьяновского СИЗО. Ну а мы деньгами помогаем… Мы боялись, что их могут убить.
Известно также, что Саше предлагают выйти под залог. Однако на это надежды мало, поскольку в Украине «под залог» работает так: даешь деньги (залог) - и человека снова берут под стражу прямо в зале суда, предъявив новое обвинение.

A Ukrainian language teacher will be tried in Ukraine for denying Russian "aggression".
On June 17, 2022, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine announced that the Ukrainian police had taken to court the case of a Ukrainian language teacher in a school in the city of Zhytomyr (northern Ukraine, under the control of the Kyiv authorities):

"Ян Таксюр был задержан Службой безопасности Украины (СБУ) 10 марта 2022 после обыска, который длился 8 часов.
Двое суток родственники не знали, где он находится. И только 12 марта им сообщили, что он находится в Лукьяновском следственном изоляторе (СИЗО).
- СБУ обвинила поэта в "государственной измене" (статья 111 Уголовного кодекса Украины, 15 лет тюрьмы или пожизненное заключение).
Но поэт не является военнослужащим или представителем власти. Никакие государственные секреты ему не известны.
Всё, что у него есть - это слово.
Неужели сатирик в демократической стране не имеет права выражать свое мнение в своих литературных произведениях?
- Сейчас идёт суд над Яном Таксюром.

Двое суток родственники не знали, где он находится. И только 12 марта им сообщили, что он находится в Лукьяновском следственном изоляторе (СИЗО).
- СБУ обвинила поэта в "государственной измене" (статья 111 Уголовного кодекса Украины, 15 лет тюрьмы или пожизненное заключение).
Но поэт не является военнослужащим или представителем власти. Никакие государственные секреты ему не известны.
Всё, что у него есть - это слово.
Неужели сатирик в демократической стране не имеет права выражать свое мнение в своих литературных произведениях?
- Сейчас идёт суд над Яном Таксюром.
У стороны обвинения есть "психологическо - лингвистическая экспертиза", которая говорит о том, что произведения Таксюра подрывают суверенитет нашего государства.
Какое именно стихотворение моего отца вредит суверенитету или нарушает целостность нашей страны?
- Несколько слов из речи Яна Таксюра на судебном заседании:
"Я больше 35 лет являюсь литератором. Я - сатирик.
Меня печатают в Украине, России, Америке, Канаде.
Меня читают даже в Японии.
Я критиковал власть всегда, и при (президенте) Януковиче, и при (президенте) Кучме.
Я никогда не скрывал своих взглядов и высказывался открыто.
Но сейчас меня осудили за инакомыслие.
То есть за то, что я думаю иначе".
- Яну Таксюру 70 лет.
Он болеет онкологическим заболеванием.
Таксюр более 3 месяцев находится в СИЗО.
Мы благодарны многим людям, которые молятся за него, и за те средства, которыми вы поддержали нас.
- Сейчас родственники поэта снова объявили благотворительный сбор средств.
Так как, для усиления юридической защиты Яна Таксюра, в судебный процесс необходимо ввести ещё двух адвокатов.

Yesterday, both were taken to the SBU for "investigative" actions.
The brothers were openly told: either take on yourself 10 years in prison, or you will go to life.
Now the Kononoviches are accused of violating Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It:
1. Actions committed for the purpose of forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power, as well as conspiracy to commit such actions, - shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
2. Public calls for a violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or for the seizure of state power, as well as the dissemination of materials calling for such actions, are punishable by restraint of liberty for a term of up to three years or imprisonment for the same term.
Employees of the SBU, threatening the guys with life imprisonment, say: they say, they destroyed the statehood of Ukraine when they held AGREED rallies near the Belarusian embassy in Kyiv (Kononovichi held rallies in support of Belarus and against fascism on the 7th day of each month).

Братьям сказали открыто: или берите на себя 10 лет тюрьмы, или сядете пожизненно.
Сейчас Кононовичей обвиняют в нарушении статьи 109 Уголовного кодекса Украины. Это:
1. Действия, совершенные с целью насильственного изменения или свержения конституционного строя или захват государственной власти, а также заговор о совершении таких действий, - наказываются лишение свободы на срок от пяти до десяти лет.
2. Публичные призывы к насильственному изменению или свержения конституционного строя или к захвату государственной власти, а также распространение материалов с призыва к совершению таких действий, - наказываются ограничением свободы на срок до трех лет или лишение свободы на тот же срок.
